Kratos' theme music changes too. GOW4 its very dark and ominous, like a villains. In GOW5 it get less "evil" and more orchestral , and in Valhalla it we hear it at the end of the monologue become a positive heroic anthem. They did so much with him. I loved it so much

I had a friend give me grief for crying to the end of the DLC (nothing bad, just laughing at me for it DW) but absolutely every time I hear the music and Kratos speak and come to terms with himself, just makes me so like I'm a 5 year old 😂❤❤

No grief needed from them! I think we live in a beautiful time where there’s no shortage of media or medium that can’t touch our hearts.

This DLC is such a love letter to long-time fans, and it was free! Best Christmas present that I have ever gotten!

Dude I cant explain how happy I am that someone made a video about GOW Valhalla that isn't just speedruns or any of that shit. But you made this amazing video that touches on the real message of this series and explains it through every detail and even dips into the play style and also includes voice lines and really gets new comers to understand who Kratos is. I have been playing this series for awhile and I can relate to every part of Kratos' troubles. Btw centuars, harpys, and minotaurs are so damn annoying I agree 100%.

Haha I appreciate that! I’m such a huge fan of the series from way back to 1. So seeing it now feels like we’ve come such a long way. Beautiful stuff. Thanks for watching!

I don't usually comment, but I have to say this video was well made. Wishing you some luck with the algorithm, you deserve it!

Man this is such a great analysis as always, and you really keep improving the quality with each video. You have truly mastered thyself.
And yeah I couldn’t agree more, this DLC was absolutely amazing, it’s honestly probably my favorite piece of GOW content ever. It’s so amazing to be able to see Kratos finally confront his past in such a literal way in order for him to move forward and become the God of war once more, but this time he is far wiser and just with his power just like his predecessor/mentor/therapist Tyr, who is also an absolute badass (he’s certainly my favorite Aesir Bossfight without a doubt)

16:48 eeerrrrrm actually it's the second-person☝️🤓. No but seriously your vids are really great, the work you put into them really shows. And it's not only the vids that you put work into, it's also the games, you put so much effort into thinking about each line of dialogue, it's honestly quite surprising. This video deserves at least 100× more views than it has now, cuz the low amount of views is unfair compared to the work you've put into this analysis

Totally agree. The music always goes so hard and that being a blend of what felt like Greek and Norse music hit real nice.

I think my favorite part is that it actually isn't a prophecy, it's faye's belief in kratos, literally painted over the actual prophecy, who gives a shit what reason it is that you can defy fate, the reality is that it was a bleak, terrible end for a man that faye loved, and she refused to believe it, just as kratos eventually rejects it completely.
He chooses to be what faye saw in him, not what the future foretold for him, and it's beautiful.
He becomes the best version of himself, that for the longest time he could never have imagined, but it's the version of him that faye and atreus see, just about every time they look at him. It truly is a redemption, not because his failures or crimes are forgiven, but because he takes the lessons to be learned from them and actually tries to do better than he did.

When you mix confronting the Jungian Shadow with the catharsis of guilt-free beatdowns of things you hate.

I alway like the moment where half of the game (or series in this case) were nothing but a edgy feast then to at the end it giving a really shonen vibe with in hope, dream, future you know the kind where ending monologuing? i just think it more meaningful to follow the one in blame rather than the one fixing it
