How to use Coinstar for FREE

- I cashed the coins from one set of washing and drying machines after 45 days of use from tenants. Here are the results using the Coinstar machine.

I watched this to make sure I know how to use the machine before I got to the store. I’d hate to stand there and figure it out with people waiting behind me.

You left a nice chunk of Silver quarters in the coin return at the bottom I bet. It hasn't been that long and would be worth going back to check. Silver quarters are currently worth approximately $5 each and coinstars normally reject them due to the weight difference. All quarters 1964 or earlier are Silver 90% and 10% Copper. Make sure to check your coins before dumping them the next time!!! :)

Highly unlikely. Over 30 years of normal checking found a silver dime twice, quarter never.
I don't care for giftcards, you cannot be sure of the amount left on the balance.
Giftcards force you to do business with other companies and you cannot cash the balance left on your card out at your choice of business I would rather take cash to pay bills and pay for grocery or gas for work commuting.
Any company that offers gift cards will have a balance checker on their website, usually just have to enter the card number.
I read somewhere that if the Ethernet cable is unplugged accidentally or for some other force majeure, that the machine can'/ won't charge a fee
One of the thing I remember from a month-long visit to Germany a few years ago was how I was able to find some really, perfect deals on food at the grocery story. Usually it was stuff that simply had to be sold that day or thrown away, and it was marked down considerably. If you wanted to, you could simply walk to the grocery store every day, buy whatever was on sale, and just make a day's worth of meals out of that. There's just not an equivalent system where I live in the US. Grocers would rather throw food away than to heavily discount it.

Same. But at coinstar, if you choose cash, it takes 11% out of every dollar. So if you have $1 you get 89 cents. If you want cash without a fee, choose your bank.
About a 12% fee for a cash voucher on her $225.25 total
Talk about a rip off

I noticed a couple of quarters in the tray. Always check before you leave. Other than that, not bad.
I have a question.
When you get the receipt does it show the code so you can use it?
Or when you get the receipt do you have to show it to someone so they can give you the card?
The receipt comes with a code on top. You can then redeem it into your Amazon account online, or if another gift card option for a different company, you can redeem it at the store or online.

It depends. Many banks don’t do it anymore

Most banks don't take coins unless they are rolled, and it takes time to roll them for sure!

I got a question I got a gamecard and star bucks giftcard I never use can I put them into the slot thing then use get cash or is there other option can do? And you beat it another youtuber score amount of coins haha.
I don't believe the machine is able to translate gift cards into cash. I never saw that as an option. I do know some people sell their gift cards on ebay for cash/PayPal $, so you might look into that way to cash out 🙂
@@withshannon I will try that I sign up for those sites a couple days ago. I heard it can get transfer into your pay pal funds if you make a sale? How did you manage to get bunch of loads of quarters from? Doing the coin shortage.

I have a question once you got the Amazon voucher did you have to go to customer service or did they already have the gift card information on there to redeem on Amazon app
Like was all the information already on the receipt so you can redeem it or did you have to go to customer service to get a physical gift card

I don't recall seeing one for gas stations, but they might update the list at anytime

I requested the Amazon gift card and I got a receipt, but when I try to purchase something from Amazon, there's no place to put my Gift Card Code Number ####-######-####
You will need to log into your Amazon account, then input the code into your gift card settings. When you check out, it will have to option to apply the credit
