So if your looking for a wheeling partner, let me know,im retired, got nothing but time on my hands,23 bronco raptor completely equipped to stay out as long as you like.did moab, and colorado so far:)
From my experience of travelling extensively in Himalayas (13000-19000ft), always carry some oxygen. When you have severe headache, that extra oxygen really helps. Also, a lot of people here use Diamox (easily available in India, not sure about US). Last and the most important thing, when in high altitudes, please drink lots and lots and lots of water. All that said, awesome videos. :)
@@LifestyleOverland it’s a gorgeous area and we are so blessed that everyone says we are in a beautiful area. Long time followers that are so impressed with your family and seeing your adventures. Thanks for sharing ❤️
Finally got to pickup my,Gypsy! It took awhile, 10 months to be exact, but it was well worth it. Mike and his Son's craftsmanship is great. A couple of minor electrical problems, but I was able to fix them. I love this camper and look forward to many years making many many memories in it. Well done,Mike!
I watch all of your videos don’t comment very often on any videos from anyone, but I feel the need this time to express. How good a video this was I want to thank you and your fellow off Roader for taking your time and effort to make this video extremely nice to watch. Thanks again.
Enjoyed this perfect Sunday Night movie. Seemed like a re-run, but wasn't. Beats the normal media. Thanks, enjoyed the outdoors and am looking forward to get out myself.
As a High altitude rescue dude, try "Diamox" helps with acclamation, (24/48hrs) it also a diuretic and "will" make you pee, but will help in emergency situations, . . . However going down in elevation, several 1000 ft in altitude helps too . . . Love your adventures Thank you
I love the San Juans. I've been many times. Im glad I could just enjoy the scenery and trails without having to video and give a narrative of the beautiful area it is. I go back every year for Elk Hunting. The work it takes to make a video like this must be very challenging. Great video, sir. Hat's off to you both. I had a 91 toyota 4WD extra cab pick up on 33s. It went anywhere I wanted it too.
I & my parents have come 3x’s in over 20 yrs, I love it so much & hope I can come back one day on my own to hit the trails when I have my own 4x4 vehicle.
I enjoyed watching this adventure in Colorado. The first time I went to Rocky Mountain National Park, at over 8,000 feet, altitude sickness was no joke especially with a pounding headache that refused to go away while in higher elevation. Had to go below 8,000 to rest my head. After a few days I felt fine at over 12K feet elevation.
While I have not been to anywhere close to the amount of places you have been, I 100% agree with you on this area of the country. I try to make this an annual trip. This one one of my favorite videos of yours. Well done.
Awesome video or movie but the very best 2nd to none overland video ive ever seen!!!! No filthy cussing and no satan juice alcohol like most! And videos of the great outdoors and great conversations because of great character to where i wouldnt be worried bout children and ladies to watch and so sadly thats getting hard to find so i truly thank yall for a awesome video! Yall take care and Happy Trails my friends!
I didn’t realize that this was over an hour long. Watching this “movie” makes me really regret selling my 2022 T4R TRD OR-P w/KDSS and 360° camera. I have always wanted to go Overlanding since watching you and Swellrunner build out your 4Runners.
...Awesome video ... Awesome time on the trails and amazing sights ... New to the channel but looks like I have some viewing time to do over the winter seat time ... Can't thank you enough for the influence of "Leave No Trace" ,, Good to hear your comment of clean sights .... Stay Safe ...
When you watched the whole video, you know it's a good one. Watching you guys having fun makes me want to be out there with y'all on your adventures. That prospector xl is a beast, you should try a full-size and tell us what you think. 👏👍🤙
Watching your Colorado adventure for the second time, I couldn't help but notice the deer so close when you made and were eating the carne asada. I think those deer wanted to try some 😁
I have end stage heart and lung failure and had to move away from Utah because of the general high altitude. All of the symptoms you described made it impossible for me. I recently returned and stayed in the Grand Canyon campground and nearly died as I didn’t realize the 9000+ altitude. So I can certainly relate to your rough night with altitude sickness
N. Carolina is a Beautiful place also, You can climb Mt. Mitchel (By Foot), the tallest mountain on this side of the Mississippi River, you can see 6 states on a clear day. I'v climbed it 2 or 3 times.. Put this on your list. It's Beautiful.
Epic adventure with a cool friend. The food alone drew me into your adventure, however, I thoroughly enjoyed hearing the history segments. I regret selling my properties in Pagosa Springs. The San Juan Mountains are incredibly beautiful. Kevin, if you ever take your family to Durango take them on the Silverton Narrow Gauge Train ride. It is a spectacular ride.
Amazing video! I love the atmosphere you guys created, and the slightly positive spin, with the honesty about the tent. Ouch!, I have the falcon 2, it did fine in the rain, I would be unhappy if it didn’t!
Man do I love watching your video's, all the little things you share even with out words, like moving the leveling rocks when you leave your camp. Or subtle reminders to not feed the critters. I really love how you use the propane grill for night fires and the cooking! I need to find the "rock" as I use lava rocks now, but they have a lot of dust. I am also wondering how you pack it up and what size of propane tank you use, like on this trip? Have to admit I missed the family especially the little one, so cute and beautiful! Again thanks for sharing!
Your videos are always captivating and inspiring to watch, but this one hit it out of the park! After watching your video, Southwest Colorado is now on our next adventure bucket list! Keep up the awesome video content you produce and share!
Such an amazing set up man. (and haha on the "testing" these companies must live how you put their gear to the test. Looks damn good all put together. Congrats!
Another great video, mate. Nice bit air with the 4Runner. What gas heater is that? Bloody ripper piece of kit. Are you running 35's on your wagon? You guys are certainly spoilt over there. This area is so spectacular. 🍺🍺
Was this filmed recently? I know some of the trails in the San Juan area are still closed due to the excessive snow. We are arriving to Ouray this coming Sunday and can't wait to hit some of the trails.
Brother the idea of just wandering around without emergency coverage causes me soo much stress. I thrive in the planning. I'll have to chase a photo to explain why... but SAR was involved to pull me off high center.
This is a combination of past episodes for a longer format video. For some reason these "movies" do 500% better than the episodes and reach a whole new audience. Lots of folks like to rewatch the adventures without hunting the right order of episodes so we'll drop these in from time to time. New episode coming this Thursday!
Your gear store is not opening up. I was wondering what you used to film the undercarriage of the vehicle. And what camera equipment/accessories you used. Well done video. Really enjoyed watching it.
Love watching your videos! They are absolutely beautiful! I haven’t seen a video yet and if you have I just haven’t seen it yet. But I would be interested in seeing your filming set up! What gear you use, where are the points on the vehicle. How do you get the shots you do? Like a behind the scenes video of these beautiful videos and movies! Thank you! Like in 9:17 did you walk to get that shot or use a drone?
Hope you enjoy this "movie" format of our Colorado adventure from our last exploration of Southwest Colorado!
I had a déjà vu...... I think I saw this episode before....
Do you get rid of the parts you take off your 4Runner?

$4000 and first rain. Yeah I would have had a lot more words, so props for being the better customer!
Crazy how I went from loving sleek sexy sports cars & rippin down the highway to just simply wanting to overland and crawl at snail’s pace

Great video. Great views . Just awesome

Slam the water to counteract the altitude sickness. Start hydrating a day before you go up. Drink, drink, drink! Avoid caffeine, it’s a diuretic.
We did this too but then I was up peeing every hour! LOL
