    Agree with everything you've said Mr. Brown. I have the red and chrome too and I love it! I'm 66 now and ridden 250s, 500s, 650s and this is by far the best bike I've ridden. It handles like a dream and the only time I notice the lack of horse power is going up a steep hill! It pulls away beautifully and gets to 60mph in no time if you need it to. I won't be looking for another bike that's for sure. Thank you for your videos.

    Couldn’t agree more - I’ve done 3,500 miles in 8 months on mine and love it even more. No sign of any trouble, serviced by me, still looks like new. With 45 years of motorcycling under my belt, this is unquestionably the best bike I’ve ever had.

    Spot on analysis, Mr Brown. I have one myself and it is wonderful. I also have a Tiger 800 which is fantastic too but am thinking of selling it because the RE is probably all I need from a motorbike. If your idea of the pleasure of motorcycling a is riding along country lanes, enjoying the sound of the bike and the scenery you need look no further. Looks wise, it is, as a friend of mine who knows nothing about motorbikes says
    , a work of art.

    Thanks Mr Brown, you've summed up Royal Enfield singles, you could apply all those reasons to the 500s too. I've just done 1850 miles on everything from tiny lanes to motorways on my Bullet 500 and could start it all again tomorrow. I couldn't say that about any of the big 'touring' bikes I've done that distance on, brilliant little bikes 👍.

    It’s one of those bikes that’s greater than the sum of its parts. My only regret is buying my signals before the release of the gorgeous bulitt version in black would have snapped that up!!

    I don’t yet own one of these yet but i did a day out with Nathan in Devon and loved riding it over the Meteor. I dismissed the new Bullet as a styling exercise but i can see it has its merits - different seat, foot peg location and shorter rear mudguard for getting the wheel out.

    Motorcycle journalists do a job and review bikes. Motorcycle enthusiasts just ride bikes and enjoy the ride even if it’s 50mph.
    Take the Honda Grom. 125cc and about 9hp. Still fun to ride. Royal Enfield have done a great job of marketing their bikes and they make them for people to just get on and enjoy the ride.
    The Classic 350 looks fantastic.
    I just bought the little Hunter 350.
    Great engines. Smooth usable power.
    The most difficult decision is which 350 variant to buy. Easy. By the one you like the look of and you’ll be very happy 😃

    Nice presentation! I’m going to buy one of these Classics this winter(good deals to be had). I’ve had my share of bikes the past 45 years, and as I’ve aged, the horsepower factor has taken a back seat to practicality and a more relaxed riding experience. Heck, I just sold a WR450 and bought an XR150 for the rough gravel county roads that I explore near my home. Easier to ride, less maintenance, and it gets me where I want to go. Plus, I’ve always wanted a more old school(like the Brit bikes I always wanted back in the day) motorcycle that is functional but not maintenance intensive, and has a bit of the “soul” that is missing in most bikes these days. Really enjoy your channel, as it keeps my riding spirit alive, especially during these long winter months! 😁

    I have the Meteor which has the same engine and its top speed doesn't stop me from going on dual carriageways or motorways. Its never been lacking in acceleration and its top speed is just above the limit and thats all you need. The 350s are great bikes and anyone that says different has never ridden one. As for the Ceat tyres they are spot on. You have some lovely bikes Mr Brown old and new. Ride safe m8.

    I had a test ride on a Benelli Imperiale 400 and really liked it but I've never seen any out and about. The dealer disparages Enfields (obvioudly they want to sell Benellis) but there isn't an Enfield dealer near where I live. Given that there are loads of videos on the 350s and virtually none on the Benellis, it maked me wonder why. I do like the 350 I must say.

    They are a great-looking little bike that's for-sure . $500 + Road-Tax in NZ for bikes over 500cc , a wanker-Politician (PM, John-Keys) put the reg-price up after arguing with an-opposition-Member who rode a Harley . Keys was the same-guy who did over the Irish-Economy some years-back .

    • @Volcanicbrown1878

  • @dungspreader
    @dungspreader ปีที่แล้ว +1

    They're good lookers and the price is right [ on sale here in Canada for $4300 at the moment ].
    Great commuters or bikes for leafy lanes .
    No use for the roads up here in northern BC where you have to be able to get around or get away from huge highway trucks .
    Horses for courses , I suppose .
    Nostalgia at an affordable price , with modern convenience is what they are all about .
    And that's OK .

    Mr. Brown? I think you’re Tommy Walsh 🤭 sound like an Essex geezer. 💪 in the nicest possible way 👍 as for the classic, I went for the Meteor co’s it’s got alloys no chrome, an like you probably get 300mls to a tank full. Enjoy mate. 😎

    Hi Mate, Would you recommend a DNA air filter for the 350 Classic?

    • @Volcanicbrown1878
      @Volcanicbrown1878  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @quentendawson81 Well, I put one in the Interceptor and noticed no difference! If you do put the DNA filter in, start the bike up from cold and without touching the throttle, let the bike idle for about 20 mins. This allows the ECU to make the necessary adjustments to the fueling....Very important!

  • @ruahinesrider
    @ruahinesrider ปีที่แล้ว +1

    RE paintwork is excellent.
    My Silver Spectre Interceptor had nice deep paint work & mates Glitter & Dust & all others I've seen.Welds are good.I do think 🤔 the Electrics are cheap & I had a faulty Relay from new which was causing bike to loose power when accellerating but still idle.Also after a wash wouldn't start & had to disconnect & reconnect battery connector cables.I replaced all the Relays with Hitchcock's one's which are twice the amps & all issues solved & bike actually started stronger & was 150rpm higher in first start up till once warmed up then back to normal.I haven't heard of Relay problems with the 350 only Himmy & Interceptor/Gt but probably the same.Other than the cheap Relays are a great bike & if I got another be my first mod.For the price of bike better Relays is nothing really a cheap mod.Cleaned grease out too I did as well & bike start after wash everytime.
    I saw a Relay on a Himmy cut in half & had signs if corrosion after 1000km.

      I have the Halcyon Green like you for the last 2 years, 54 years of riding and the best bike I have owned, in fact will be the last bike I own, it’s that good. Only issue were the spokes that are not stainless steel but have just sorted that, a set of alloys from Hitchcocks 2 days delivery. So I now have tubeless tyres that turn in faster but still hold the line round the bends beautifully. Love your channel after finding you on TAYM’s recommendation 😊
