I agree, they seem to have a good flow together. I want that for my life too. A partner who doesn't want all my life to be around him, or all their life to be around me. They seem to have a good equilibrium.
I wouldn't last two seconds, not that I'd ever try. You get to see your husband/boyfriend maybe 2 months in the year. They're always in a different time zone, so in order to talk to them long distance, you may need to be up at 3am. Likely they will never be there for any important date in your life, be it an anniversary, birthday, graduation, etc. You have to live somewhere convenient for them. Going to the track to hang out probably means walking in and walking out together and maybe sharing a lunch. Social media is nightmare fuel for any relationship in the spotlight. You can't really demand their time, because you know what it is before you start dating them---that they don't have time, so, nah, kudos to these women. Massive respect.

It takes time, patience and understanding(on both sides) to maintain one. It would be too much of a distraction and that could prove costly while also trying to maintain optimum performance in a sport that demands intense FOCUS.
There would be such pressure on these relationships which would be overwhelming, especially as many of the girlfriends are still quite young. There would be that desire to spend time with their loved one which could come at a cost of their own career. It would be interesting to know if teams provide support to all of their team members (mechanics, engineers - not just drivers) as they all have to spend long periods of time away from loved ones and all experience the pressure to perform albeit at different levels

Then later I found out they were both dating with Alex sliding into Lily's dm and it was such a good thing because they're both such wholesome and lovable people! I'm glad to learn too that the paddock is so accepting of Lily and that's lovely

Love is a threat to the F1's money making machine with people around these drivers who will destroy a sincere heart!
