I have 2023 Hemi Orange RT. Came with the big brakes and slotted rotors and active exhaust system. I bought for my wife, but about to get her a grand cherokee and me keep the durango. I will be adding the whipple as well. I love using the track mode option...it stiffings the suspension and changes the exhaust tone as well. AWD is also a plus!!! I love it!!!
I still have my 05 Durango SLT and its going strong runs almost like brand new. It's impressive with 160k on the dash. I only had one issue with transmission but has been going 10 years strong since then.

Love this vid. When I got our DRT, I initially wanted a DSRT for the Brembos and 392... Unfortunately they dont offer the DSRT with RWD only. I dont want or need the extra weight and complexity of AWD with the DSRT here in So Cal. I hear going SC with the 5.7 is the better way to go over the 392. Ill be checking in on these mods and the Brembos (I assume straight off the DSRT). Just curious how the trans is handling the boost long term?
the durangos awd system is mostly rwd unless you are slamming the acceleration or need traction, mine only kicks in when im on country backroads or in the winter up here in new york. also if you get a tazer or other computer controller for the car on anything 2014 and later you can switch to rwd because it has an electronic gearbox, unlike the 2013s and before which is locked into awd with a mechanical gearbox
@@Wayniesgirl the new RTs are alot nicer 2021 and up the 0-60 is 5.5 seconds which is only .4 slower than the charger. ill take a .4 hit for AWD. add some mods and you'll be beating out alot of people

NO WAY! You took my exact words right out of my mouth! I have a 2021 Tow N Go but I'm going the Whipple 3.0 mod without a doubt! The Tow N Go is already 100% SRT except the engine as you know. But with a Whipple it'll make our RT's a LOT faster than a 392 SRT Rango! The 392 is 475 HP at the crank. The Whipple will give ours about 475 at THE WHEELS which is about 593 HP at the crank.
Srt Durango is like 15-20k more, spend 8500$ on the whipple maybe another 3k on supporting mods, and you’re at around 470whp on a stock motor, supposedly it’s the same 8 speed transmission as the srt Durango too, you’ll have a faster car than an srt and cheaper.
@@seanandnadia Not yet, waiting on another TH-camr who just did it with his Tow N Go. He's having a very small issue and it's because he didn't use HP Tuners like Whipple suggests you use. Once he's squared away I'm going to see his input then pull the trigger next Summer.

@@Von_SRT my performance shop said the 5.7L does not handle forced induction well. The 392 is a beast by itself. I had a charger scat pack before this, just too low to the ground, so I switched to the Durango.

Stock R/T is in the high 13's, low 14'a with the factory AWD in the quarter. And low 5's 0-60. They're quick, but they're about a second slower 0-60 and qtr than the SRT 392 models. Plus, the 60 on up is much quicker, ALLEGEDLY. I gave a SRT 392 Durango and um, if I ever ran an R/T Durango, um, I'm sure it would be much faster and, um blow the R/T away from 0 - uh whatever. Allegedly, just guessing 110 HP would probably make a difference. Of course, I would never ever race my SRT. I just paid the difference for the looks. Allegedly.

When you tune it. You can increase the max speed. it is the same transmission as the 392. I was able to increase my speed on my 2016 Dodge Charger RT from 150 mph to 170 mph@@bobforpples
just curious if the engine has blown yet, I supercharged a ram 5.7 hemi went thru 2 engines they dont take boost very long the pistons rings location cant take boost, blew right off the piston, first engine I ran 8-10 psi last maybe 4 months, 2 nd engine ran 4-6 psi it last maybe 6 months, whipple tune, just a fyi change internals or expect to be buying a engine soon, ran like a raped ape for short time

I have the 2022 srt Durango 700 miles on it and I’m about to drop in pistons and a blower. So far my best stock 0-60 is 4.1

Nice! I put a 3.3L Whipple on my '20 SRT Durango. It's the 6.4L and about 680 at the wheels.
Did you have to build the motor?

5.7s can handle a supercharger and keep the reliability, its one of the few engines that do. the 3.6 v6 can handle a supercharge reliably as well
The 392 is technically the unreliable engine of all the engines.
