Being outdated might be a good thing in my opinion. These over complicated computer engines with turbos = more complicated electric issues = more $$$$ to fix. And if you have a headlight go out, you’ll be spending $10-$15 on a new bulb and not $400-$1000 on a whole new head light!

I cannot agree more, the less complex the easier and cheaper to fix.

I always look for functionality over what is cool. I've driven a gold Dodge Grand Caravan for about 10 years. I bought it because it met my needs: one being that I could fit full sheets of plywood/drywall in the back. While I don't think I will be able to fit full sheets of plywood/drywall in the The Dodge Journey, it seems like a nice step up. Don't get hung up on what is 'outdated' when it comes to vehicles. If if fits your needs for a reasonable price, it is perfect for you.

I have a 2019 Journey GT AWD, wheels are 19", and weight is about 4100 lbs. Top speed is 133 mph and 1/4 mile is 15.5. He should have mentioned that it has far more horsepower than the competition, actually the TOWING capacity is 2500 lbs not the GVW.

Yea as I said in my comment there, if it had 280 hp weighed 2500lbs 1/4 mile time be in 12s or 13second range lol, but even 15 seconds for reality is really great

Sure, not quite as good as a Pilot or Highlander.
But you can buy these things used for a song and a dance. You will never make up the 15-20K difference on that Toyota with repairs. Repair costs are actually quite reasonable on Dodge Journeys.
They've been making them forever so spare parts are everywhere.
Totally agree with you - get the 2.4 and the 4 speed. It does quite well on the highway.. and is very inexpensive to buy and maintain.

I mean, i feel like if i was going to review a vehicle id get to know it a lot better than this before doing the review. Id also wanna look at its direct competition instead of constantly conparing it to fullsize or luxury SUVs.
For instance... this isnt a competitor for the highlander... thatd be the durango. Actually... you sort of did this entire review as if you were wishing this was a durango and not a journey.
This competes more with rav 4 and mitsubishi outlander range of vehicle Not the explorer but the ford edge. So those are the vehicles you should have looked up to compare this to.
Had you done that... youd have delivered a very different review. Most would say better. For instance. The journey offers a v6 where not all conpetitors do. It offers awd which not all of them do. As far as performance and power the journey is amungst the very top for its class. As for price its near the most affordable. With heated seats & steering wheel, parking sensors and large infotainment screen its also getting into the higher levels of human comfort.
The dodge journey is built for people that want performance similar to a jeep midsize but want more creature comfort and tech. Thats its niche and thats its potential customer. Market to them specifically.
In fact... if youre really wanted hit on this video you have to get in the viewers head. Which is easy as these reviews are basically only viewed by people considering one of these or people that already own one of these and want to be reassured.
Thats why you give honest pros and cons and not so much opinion biases. Constantly repeating "it looks old" not only makes you look unknowledgable it makes you seem stuck up and biased. It doesnt look "old" the body lines are more angular specifically to try to move the design away from the mini van appearance. Which is a point that you almost dove into. The lights up front i agree should have been LED or at least the headlights. Fog lamps and turn signals arent as much benefitted from LED tech. But it seems weird all led in back then halos up front. Weird choice. So ill give you that. The interior is also... dodge... its not "old looking" dodge sticks to their brand because their following is stronger than most companies. Customers go to dodge looking for simple design lines and usability over looking like a space craft with no real functional reasoning behind the design. Toyotas, kias, hyundais, hindas, nissans etc are basically all the same in interior and exterior design.
Dodge and jeep (chrysler motor company) like to keep their looks on-brand. The heritage of dodge company is that of muscle cars and big trucks.
So this journey is quite on brand with big guages and straight swooping lines.
Im not trying to insult you. But your "reviews" arent going to be that popular just because you put edm beats in the intro.
1st. Clean out the vehicle. Hit it with a vaccuum for literally 2 minutes and throw away some trash and youd have been golden.
The luggage almost could have stayed to show storage.
2nd: leave your bias at the door and off camera. And just concentrate on pros and cons and things that are unique to the thing your reviewing.
3rd: be mindful of your audience. As a teenager your opinions on its looks and most of its functions dont matter much. Teens arent out there buying new vehicles. And your parents are generally going to look at price, gas mileage and safety features. Theyre not so concerned if its as cool looking for your friends. The people shopping for these vehicles have more of your parents comcerns in mind than if it "looks old".
4th: avoid repeating yourself this just irritates the viewer. Almost every feature you repeated that we are "greeted" with whatever whatever. If the display pops up and is bright and attention grabbing so we are greeted with it. If the seats are soft were not greeted. Lol. Just change up the vocabulary. Car reviews are quite monotonous and we expect that to some degree but honestly you said "greeted" far too much. Spice it up.
Okay so this whole comment seemed a criticism to you. And it sort of is. But its meant to be constructive. If i didnt see legitimate hope and talent in you i wouldnt have wasted my time.
    Youre not far off.
    Youre not bad at this.
But i wanted to highlight some points to hone your skills. And this isnt just youtube skills. Salesmen that are successful use these skills as well. Maybe one day youll be selling midsize dodge SUVs. You wouldnt sell any if youbtold everybodybover and over how old it looks and that you wouldnt buy it based solely on that fact.
And if you cant hide your bias and you are only interested in looks. Then only review things you have interest in and make sure the audience knows that youre taking that much more specific viewpoint and you wont be talking about horsepower and MPG and expected mileage and safety features.
Theres a market for that. Its smaller. But youd get views.
Sorry if any of this seemed insulting. Thats no my intention.
    Have a good one bud.

That's what I'm looking for...to convert and sleep in the back on a long road trip. And I'm 70...I get along just fine with an "old-school, outdated" look...LOL. It actually has 19 years improvements over the 2000 Accord I'm resurrecting every year (ugh...the d**n TIMING BELT updating...g-r-r-r-r). I'm not looking for a forever car; just want to be safe... :)

Not sure how soft you want the doors and dash but they are both soft! Not hard. Cut the crap. A old Toyota that’s still being sold new today would have a much much MUCH worse interior.
