The fact that you can switch aspect ratios is crucial like you said. The X-Pan when done right just hits differently. Great images throughout.

First off - as always, beautiful pics.
The intra-roll aspect change is absolutely magnificent. Totally with you “remake, but 100% mechanical”.
Best 2 reasons to not beat 9-years-ago-Jeremy up; the 1500-2000 you probably sold it for then got you tools you needed more at the time, and if it had bricked itself a year or two later you’d never have come back to it last year…

It’s crazy… I’m following a lot of film photographers and always enjoyed watching them. Like 3 days ago I found your channel and I can only say WOW! All other film photographers are amateurs compared to you. And I say this, even though I really do enjoy watching their videos. You’re just on an other level.
Hope to see more vlog style videos. There’s just so much to learn from you. Would be great if you could do more videos of like how you meter, how you approach taking pictures, how do you develop and scan film, how do you edit it?
Also orders my first 30.5m roll of fomapan 400.

I actually just ordered my third 100’ roll of fomapan 400, this year, based on the work and experience he had to share on the matter. Definitely one of the most underrated film photography channels on the platform. Hope you enjoy shooting it!

Occasionally, I shoot my Voigtlander Bessa II with 35mm film which gives me 24X90. My Widelux F7 also travels with me. GFX50R and the 24x65 ratio, was recently my companion to Morocco. I totally get the affinity for panoramic photography.

Nice nice review on the XPAN and using it for the year. Also nice you that were inspired by Gilles Peress “Whatever you Say, Say Nothing’, it’s a wonderful book and in addition to Gilles incredible photographs, credit is also due to Yolanda Cuomo for the wonderful layout and design; she is a master of design.. see her design work also with Matt Black’s book (who also sometimes used a wide pano format)

That format-switching mechanism is such a Classic piece of Fuji engineering. (The X-pan is basically a Fuji camera). Kind of reminds me of the switching between EVF and optical viewfinder on the Fujifilm X-pro series.
This was a really comprehensive review of the X-pan and the panoramic format, thank you. Sadly out of my price-range but I’ll happily get my 65x24 fix from my second-hand GFX 50s, which cost a lot less than an X-pan!

Hey Jeremy, I really like all the photos you create. Do you publish them anywhere?

a fully mechanical xpan sounds like a no brainer. It would sell so well, just dort see why hasselblad doesn‘t do it. maybe they just don’t want to produce fully mechanical cameras anymore.. ?

I’m surprised how common men , not able to notice your vocabulary and ad-libbing ability . Unlike entirety of internet with humans being dumb to the point of me wanting to hang myself , not just they have 300 words cache on top of this they talk about dumbest thing with freakin prompter ! It’s disgusting and embarrassing slap to the human population and me ! Personally as a representer of such .
hearing you speaking intelligently with controlled pace is a refreshing material . I am not owning any film camras, although admired Leicas for the looks . Here only to appreciate an intelligent guy which is passionate about depicting time in timely manner using vestiges of technology of past . Thank you for the effort . Adieu .
