  • hi to everyone who has been following my build on this kitty hawk. i apologize for my late update since it has been 2 months since my last update. in this video i have completed the deck decals and on the island. i wanted to show you how it looks like before i paint it. you will see lots of Eduard photo etch on the island and mast. might not be so good but that’s my skill level. anyway please enjoy the video . thanks.

    What an awesome project. Your photo-etch work on the comm tower is superb! As someone who is working on the trumpeter 1/700 kitty hawk at the moment I am definitely looking forward to more updates on this project. Keep up the great work!

    Considering the lack of time you have to work on this you have done a lot ! The decals look good and the island Photoetch is a struggle especially keeping the platforms and railings straight but you have got it looking real nice .Once the paint goes on it will cover glue marks. You even got the mast nice and straight ! Well done 👍⚓🇦🇺

      thanks Peter. my eduard set is only about 250 parts. can’t imagine how you worked with the MK1 around 5000 over parts. i will go crazy. i’m glad i got over it. so i guess smearing of the glue is common perhaps.

    Im building a 1/800 scale version of this beauty. You’re work is splendid

      thanks. 1/800 is more challenging coz it’s so small. the small parts would be almost invisible. if you have good eye sight should be no problem. i need to use magnifier even at 1/350. good luck on your build!

    Modelar,it is very difficult to assemble such a large 1/350 scale, there are a lot of details. I bought the USS Constellation CV 64 1/350. it's the same class as yours. Good luck.

    What color did you paint on the flight deck? Black? Dark Grey?

    • @modelar705
      @modelar705  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      i used semi gloss black from mr color. the gray is weathering effects
