It says on the chart 55-65ft lbs using 30w oil and 60ft lbs using arp lube ? Where are you getting this 30ft lbs as a final torque reading????

Great vid wish I lived close enough to you where I can learn how to do this myself with hands on experience. Will look forward to this whole series!!

Late to the party as I binge watch. Great to see how you've come on with your style in later videos . Definitely don't use RTV on the block (not sure if that was a slip of the tongue) - Threebond is great. RTV doesn't break down in oil so anything that squeezes out inside the engine as you torque down on the joint will eventually start to break off and block the oil feed passageways and if it makes it to the oil pump then engine seizure will follow.

Love seeing a fellow Spokanite with such an intriguing channel, another great video as always!! This is coming from someone with no background or ambition in modifying cars haha

why do you rub the rtv after applying it? i dont think ive seen that method before, i thought you just apply a bead the whole thing and then apply your object ontop of it?

I do that to get an even spread on the gasket surface, and to make sure there is sealant on all of the surface.

Could’ve cleaned the cylinder bores with ATF and coffee filters. Also, using ATF eliminates much of the break-in process.

Awesome content so far been subbed for a while. wd40 is a solvent so not sure how it would lube cylinder walls but it worked good for you

I’m calling bullshit on your “engine builds” never seen someone “lose as much footage as you” aka you have a helper that you’re not giving credit don’t worry Harris performance engine build tutorial coming soon without “lost footage”

    • @Itachlazcano21

Tony Harris you’re thinking too deep. Even if someone was building his engine he wouldn’t care. It doesn’t matter wether he builds the engine himself or if someone else does it
