DESCRIPTION
The ARMA 3 Apex map, Tanoa is finally out to people who opt into the development branch, so we're going to have a look at it for the first time and see if it lives up to the hype we've been riding for the past year, I'd say it does! Just wait a few days and missions, mods and everything will be made for Tanoa, hype!

They have perfected this map for LIFE mode.
Tanoa is definitely made with Life in mind. The whole thing :) And its great! Means BI really does keep an eye on their playerbase. Awesome video Lewis! None of your usual BS, but straight on overview just like the good old days.

the ARMA 3 devs have to be the most successful devs ever. Like, the DLC they release is actually good and they actually encourage modding to the point where you can literally change the entire game.

I'm just a little curious, is the frame rate better on this map than Altis? I would think the jungle would have a crazy toll on systems, but maybe not as bad a cities still? Any input would be nice.

This is what a DLC should be. A HUGE map, over a dozen weapons, little under a dozen new vehicles, a new faction, new Coop missions. I still think it is a little to expensive. I definitely would've paid 15$ for it, no questions asked.

OH BOI I can't wait for the assraping I will get running around on this map. But the MV-22 though, I'll probably spend more time on Eden flying the vertibird than being on multiplayer.

It seems Tanoa is VERY focused on life mods. Its very like modern and well looking. Its not over-fucked up. It just looks like its meant for life mods.
Hyped for Tanoa Life. Lewis please do Mayne just try one episode of Tanoa life when it does happens.

Hey, can you guys help me out? I'm trying to play the map, I've downloaded the experimental/Dev version of arma and all that, but whenever I load the game up to go in editor on Tanoa, it tells me 0I need to purchase apex to play it (But I've already preordered/bought it). Anyone know a fix? Thanks in advance.

I feel like this map is perfect for pretty much anything. RP with the big cities and the industrial areas, and still good for PVP with the dense forests, multiple airports etc.
I still don't understand why Arma is making us pay for what is basically updates.

Basic updates ? Look at all the new AAA games that came out most of them have first day DLC. Bohemia is doing a damm good job regarding updates and giving us new content. And we still have mods while most AAA games don't allow mods.

+JakydudeTV We already have all the weapons and vehicles we need. If we want or need more, we can buy the extra ones. It sounds just like any other DLC of any other game. Sid Meier's Civilization V charges us for extra maps, extra countries, and extra features. But they're all just extra, we don't really need them. Sounds pretty damn reasonable to me.
how big is lakeside? i want to see how much smaller or bigger it is to this map.
They need to add a boat that can transport cars... How are you supposed to get your brand new jeep to the other islands? (without helicopters)
I think if the buildings are made to look a bit more rugged or whatever this map would make a great map for a zombie mod
