Thank you so much for this video. It seems funny to say that a diy video changed my life, but this one literally did. After being in an abusive relationship for three decades, with the help of family, i got out. For almost seven months, i slept on a cheap air mattress in my kids' dining room until it was suggested that i move into a corner of the living room. Finding an affordable room divider without putting holes in the walls or ceiling seemed impossible. Then i saw your video. I now have my own space and am sleeping in a real bed. Thank you so much!

I bought 3 4-panel dividers to section th-cam.com/users/postUgkxWv_wTHyTRVm0QkcOw1Rz2-5g_gDoRTkU off a living room space into a bedroom. The panels came on time, in good condition and were reasonably priced except the $25/panel shipping cost could have been a bit lower. They do have considerable gaps between the panels, which I will tape with a black electric tape. They are light, however with no wind inside, this is not a problem. You cannot make out any shapes through them, though they also let diffused light through so it does not darken the room.I calculated that every two panels at an angle can cover up to 24-30 inches width on the floor. It is safer to be around 26 inches (for every two panels) since by 30 inches it begins to be a bit unstable. I have 7 panels covering 92 inch width, and 5 panels covering 64 inch width. I had ordered 3 4-panel dividers, but I was easily able to take one panel off and attach it into the middle of another, thus creating a 3-, 4- and 5-panel dividers within a few minutes.

A little piece of a chain would look cute also and not too $$. Also, I might suggest cloth shower curtains possibly. Good prices, stain resistance since you will be handling a room divider a lot. I line my regular curtains in certain areas with shower curtains in between my nice drapes to block off the hot and cold from the window.

if i was to buy actual curtains id have to buy 3 only because i need just a tad more that 2 to fit. now the issue there is price and finding 3 matching curtain pannels that alone would cost more than $20 no doubt the set up in ur video minus curtains may be $20 or less the rods and curtains is where the cost comes into play. You will save on buying special holders for rods like tracks and all that so it does help with cost and less damage to ceiling to install tracks if ur a renter that does come to mind. Im considering just going to frabric store for the fabric to create my own curtains and hopefully ill find something nice on sale and forsure get the same fabric for all 3 curtains or if frabric just buy the amount i need not almost a whole exstra curtain for a tiny bit not enough past the 2nd curtain.

Why didn't you make the twist in the wire on the back side of the command hangers leaving less visible clutter? And if you have a drill, why not just use a few drywall screws? They would cost a few pennies vs. the few dollars of the 3M command hangers and hold up around 50 LBS. apiece and be less visible.
