I believe the money has caused many musicians to forget the main purpose, worshipping and creating sacred music before The Almighty GOD! When I was dating my wife we werent attending the same church but when it was the right time our pastors knew about it and people eventually knew but we weren’t doing too much in the public to make it look bad Event then thank God the church I was in wasn’t a bunch of messy folks
Most jobs explicitly prohibit people in supervisory or managerial positions from dating subordinates. You can't really help who you end up falling in love with, but be mindful of the potential pitfalls and consequences.
Keeping the relationship private (like any work-centered relationship) can be hard...sooner or later someone from church or work sees you together at a movie theater, etc...but you may not see THEM.
I’m never letting the pastor know lol. Like you said, you don’t owe him any explanation, and pastors can be manipulative too. I’ve heard about it. The pastor does not need to know any of my business, whether he knows about her or not.
I believe it just doesn’t applies to just choir members. I would say anybody that goes to the same church as you. Which is why I always never liked pursuing no women at a church where I play at. It’s too much of noisy people and I’m a private person. I don’t like these saints in my business. I would admit I have been tempted but I truly thank God for not allowing me to.

What I'm asking is can you post your professional and experiential thoughts about how to hire, question and support a music leader. Questions to ask, what to look for in their character and abilities "musically" . What attributes will benefit a ministry and support us (if trully called to ministry) to help a church thrive. Also, can you talk about budgets and salaries for your position.
I'd be hard pressed to dating a choir member, but ANYONE at church period. Met ex-wife at the same church and dated a young lady who tried to out me to the pastor and MD once our relationship dissolved. Needless to say, I was still employed and she left shortly after
If you are a leader in a ministry, you should absolutely let your pastors/ senior leadership, know that you’re dating in the Ministry. That’s simply accountability, protect your anointing!

@@Culturelens thank you for the question. One can remain single and live in obedience to GOD or Get married and live in obedience. He who finds a wife, find a Good thing and obtain Favor with GOD. YOU OBTAIN FAVOR FROM GOD. YOU must and live Holy and pray and the woman too! There is Favor that comes with being married. I once thought like the question above. But Jesus saved me. If you commit to praying to Jesus 1 hours daily or more and reading the Bible, you will have a different mindset concerning marriage. You will have to separate yourself from the world of corrupt communications, to seek the counsel of God through daily fellowship in prayer and the Holy scripture, The BIBLE.
Acts 2:38 is still God's plan of salvation. One way for all people. We can't pick and choose which scriptures we like or dislike. Eternity is too long to be wrong.
You should be looking to get married, don’t fool around. Date to get married. Sin not. God is holy and God want holiness. If you sin you will be separated from God. If you sin you die. Thank you Jesus for saving our lives and for saving the world.

It all boils down to musicians exploiting WOMEN in the Church. Turning the house of GOD into a whorehouse. Get married and stop jumping around from woman to woman.

Church is a place of worship not dating, unless you meet a sister/bro fall in love and the goal is to marry. There is a procedure on that too
