Well, we can see more bendy buses being deployed on Tower Transit Service 858 that ply from Woodlands to Changi Airport. About a few years ago while I am at Woodlands Regional Bus Interchange ( which is now the new Woodlands Intergrated Transport Hub), I found many bendy buses being deployed on Service 858( which is under SMRT BUSES LTD at that time). It is then that I found out that the bus stops for SMRT bus service 858 and SBS Transit Service 27 at Changi Airport have been lengthened in order to accommodate bendy or longer buses for both Tower Transit Service 858 and SBS Transit Service 27.
@@coolman444 well the Neoplan jumbocruise never entered mass production and the vdl and vanhool only had prototypes of them them sadly none where really ever used. Also I made a void about them here th-cam.com/video/HA_1fB6ie7Y/w-d-xo.html
You know I've seen three door single buses and also 3 door double decker buses it maybe a good idea as one staircase for going up and the other for going down but sometimes I'm like what's the difference as when it gets too peaked it can be pretty crowded too
Bendy buses 🚌 are Still Reliable than Double decker buses 🚌 in terms of passenger carrying huge volumes of Rush hours of trips and easy faster departing from 3 doors than Double decker buses. 3 door Double decker buses are slowly introduced to change the bus travel mindsets as 3 door buses are still no doubt take less road space and Claimed to be more larger capacity to Bendy buses. This is like comparison to Aviation Giant Airbus A380 to the Boeing 787 Dreamliner concept in terms of Fuel Efficient and reliable.
Our Singapore 🇸🇬 Roads Can Easily handle any Long vehicles such as Articulated Bendy bus 🚌. Hong Kong 🇭🇰 SAR Roads are Not wide enough and not enough parking space for Bendy buses. Especially the Riads uphill mountain passes on Hong Kong Island itself, that are Too narrow.
Tower Transit Bus Service 858 which operates from Woodlands ITH Interchange Station to Changi International Airport uses Articulated Bendy bus services on early Morning and Evening trips as the routes are very busy and height Restrictions of Changi Airport, Cannot operates any Double decker buses. 3 doors Single deck bus are can also be used on the Airport services too.
@@coolman444 The 3 door Single deck Buses mentioned ate Fully Electric powered and are smaller than Bendy buses and still can be deployed to serve at Changi Airport routes as long as they are less than 3,9 metres clearance height.
Yes and not too long ago Mercedes Benz unveiled their new E Citaro G, a electric Citaro bendy bus. It looks really nice and you should check it out. However I’m not sure if it’s available for the right hand drive market yet but it could be a option.
6:08 they will really add more bendy bus to Changi Airport?
Staying in Yishun is great for this. We get access to more bendy buses. I will at least see 1 of them when walking to the malls
