  • This was a new trail for us. Jackie, Sharon and I had heard of this trail and we decided to look for it and hike it. Our purpose was to see how easy or difficult it would be to hike for our hiking club or as an impromptu hike. It did not disappoint. The trail is located about 1/4 mile south of intersection highway 16 and 7. South of Pelsor. You have to look for a parking area on the right of the road (west). There is a pink or yellow strip on a tree. There you start the hike. It is 300-320 feet straight down to the creek. What out for thorny vines. Carry a small knife or pliers to cut them off. Once you reach the creek, go left and there is a trail on the right of the creek. There are cascading waters and a waterfall/cascading boulders on the left of the creek. There were some downed trees that you have to navigate. Once you reach the falls, it is spectacular. You can go over the rocks , be careful cause it can be slippery and then head out to the crag at the left. There you will get a great view of the falls. Once you have been done exploring and head back to the spot where you cross to go up the trail. The trail is STEEP, be careful. I highly recommend sturdy waterproof hiking boots, gloves, hiking poles and water. Best directions: from Jasper AR take highway 7 south, once past Pelsor go 1/4 mile and look for parking on the right. From Russellville AR go north on highway 7 and look for parking on the left before getting to Pelsor. Have fun and take a look of photos
