this chainsaw was in for repair under warrenty. the controller failed and the saw would not run at all.

Question. If that's is a 1400W chainsaw driven by a 36V4A battery (let's say 160W maximum power) does that mean the motor drains almost 40A from the battery, or does it stop at 4A and the motor is in actual 160W motor with some clever torque mechanism to make it as powerful as a 1400W motor?

The max output on this saw is 1100watthours. Under high load a 18v battery can put out 30ah.

Shocking that the saw fails so easily and takes this degree of fixing and bother. Same problem with my saw.
