@Swiftjar If Mario Kart Tour somehow gets more content beyond what some assumed, and if Mario Kart 8 Deluxe somehow gets even more DLC beyond the Booster Course Tracks, I hope to see more Mario Kart tracks taking place in more real-life locations; especially in... - South America (especially in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) - Africa (any city featuring savannas and grasslands) - Mexico (Examples include Cancun, etc.) - And other areas (Hawaii & other states; Central America, Carribean Islands; Bahamas; etc.) That way, all of Earth's continents & other areas can have representation in Mario Kart in the form tracks & courses. I know it's a longshot, but with such topics being recently discussed, I felt it's something I like to talk about & hope for.
More of an omission than a mistake as Swiftjar was talking about the starting line resembling the Pantheon, not the building in the background but yeah, definitely worth pointing that out, too!
Now that Rome Avanti has been introduced, I can believe that we're getting it in wave 5. I was super hard against it being in wave 5 because I felt like it would've been added in tour after wave 5 should have been fully revealed. But now that it's here, it probably will show up in wave 5 Also since the tour after this tour is probably going to contain squeaky clean sprint with the next mii costume being wiggler, I feel like the Wave 5 trailer is going to release sometime between now and before the next tour gets announced, so within the next week or so. It certainly feels like it with Nintendo quickly wrapping up the nintendo switch news wave 4 recap.
I think the reason they moved this tour up and bumped down the supposed Jungle themed tour with GBA Lakeside Park is because Rome Avanti will be in Wave 5 and they wanted to make sure it debuted in Tour first.
@@michaelrailfan If that tour has this track that means wave 5 is confirmed to come out a few days before. We should get the trailer in a few days if that's the case. Only thing I'm questioning is if Rome is only releasing with 2 versions because that would screw over stuff if they don't switch it with Vancouver.
@@XPGrindDeathking not really, Sydney didn't have its third variant in Tour when Wave 2 arrived, so Athens and Rome can easily show up in Wave 5 while still missing their third variant, and Los Angeles is almost guaranteed to be at Wave 5 too, leaving Vancouver and what appears to be Madrid for Wave 6
This track looks great during the night in Tour, now just imagine it in MK8 with that game's lightning. Rome is going to be a great looking city course. Also, I wonder if we'll get full wave 5 news a week or so after this Tour since Rome is most likely in wave 5.
Rome Avanti looks so good, I love how the track layout based on what we've seen and all the details you pointed out while Moonview Highway is just as great as ever! By the way, no worries for the pronunciation, I realize how difficult they can be for English speaking people like yourself and honestly they were overall not that bad apart from "Piazza Navona" (the "o" sounds more like an "oh")!
I'm hoping Vatican City makes an appearence in Rome Avanti. Yes, it's technically a completely different country, but it is the world's smallest country entirely within Rome, and it'd be a sick idea for a variant.
Both tracks look really cool I’ve always wanted to visit Rome so racing round the famous landmarks will be cool. Also love the yoshi and shy guys in the toll booths in moonview highway.can’t wait to try out both next week😊❤️
@@literallyafrog367 Wonder if daisy is actually going to get so many wrs if diddy kong arrives but funky kong doesn't. But lately on deluxe, there've been many wrs with yoshi and yoshi's the exact same weight class as daisy, so many of the yoshi wrs could be beaten again with daisy because she's 2nd most competitive mkwii character right after funky kong.
I think it's going to release on either 5th/6th July or 19th/20th July. It depends on when Squeaky Clean Sprint is coming. Excluding wave 4, which was released early, all waves have been released 1 or 2 days before the tour featuring the wave's non-city course is announced.
I hope Moonview high is the one to get in... Or dry dry ruins... Oh it's so exciting!! And love that Rome is at night, sets the ruins apart from Athens so much more!
At first I was kinda disappointed we got Rome instead of Rio but ngl the track looks very nice. It's gonna look stunning in the BCP. Moonview Highway also looks great. Hopefully there will be a BCP 2 so this one makes it.

I’m so excited for Rome. I went there in spring of last year and I’m really excited to see the places I can recognize. Edit: at 2:15 that big building with pillars behind the starting line is the altar of the fatherland. I find this really cool, as it was just a 5 minute walk from where I was staying in Rome.
Rome Avanti. We know that at at least some point, Vancouver Velocity was intended as the first course of the Acorn Cup. I doubt they'd move it, as its ambitious layout and the Autumn-Winter setting is perfect to start off wave 6. Rome Avanti is debuting with two variants, so I see no problem with adding it first. Wave 5 predictions: Feather Cup • Athens Dash • Mushroom Bridge • Koopa Cape • Los Angeles Laps Cherry Cup • Rome Avanti • Sunset Wilds • Daisy Cruiser • Squeaky Clean Sprint

By balance, I mean multiple things: 1: Themes - at least one course fitting for the wave's release season, less courses with clashing themes 2: Game of origin (classic courses) - less repeats, especially in a wave with less classic courses 3: Difficulty - perfect difficulty for the wave (e.g. more challenging courses for wave 6) 4: Fun/boring courses - not leaving all of the worst courses for one wave, or all of the best for one wave Rome Avanti is barely similar to Athens Dash. The closest comparison I can think of is the Colosseum looking very slightly similar to the Odeon of Herodes Atticus or maybe the Theatre of Dionysus.
I see both of them arriving at wave 6. Madrid/whatever the final city is and Vancouver to start and end the Acorn Cup respectively, and Rome at the Spiny Cup.

I hope wii moonview highway DOESN'T come to mario kart 8 deluxe because I feel like there would be way to many city tracks and the dlc is already starting to get a bit repetitive with all the city tracks. Sorry for the long rant just my opinion

I really like the Italy course, but I feel like we are getting to much ruin tracks. First Piranha plant cove, then Athens dash and now this track. All tracks individually look great but I‘m filling that its a bit too much ruins. Am I the only feeling this?
Aw! Moonview Highway is going to be a Wii track for Wave 5 on mk8dx. It shouldn't come out on deluxe even right after koopa cape does. It's really difficult there on mkwii and has so many fast moving cars. Guess no more other courses like Toad's Factory there at all.

For anyone who isn't, int the server I mentioned that the Toll gate changed from single gate. To double toll gates each connected on either side of the Toll booths.

I’m starting to think that Nintendo is making some random names for these city tracks.
I really like the Italy course, but I feel like we are getting to much ruin tracks. First Piranha plant cove, then Athens dash and now this track. All tracks individually look great but I‘m filling that its a bit too much ruins. Am I the only feeling this?

Aw! Moonview Highway is going to be a Wii track for Wave 5 on mk8dx. It shouldn't come out on deluxe even right after koopa cape does. It's really difficult there on mkwii and has so many fast moving cars. Guess no more other courses like Toad's Factory there at all.
Also, it has no halfpipes at all.
