You do the BEST videos!
I'm curious about SE Salem after seeing one of your other videos.
Can't wait to see the video on Keizer.
You're full of great topic ideas! We'll do a deep dive on SE Salem soon. I think you'll enjoy the Keizer map video, it's very similar, plus I made an additional video talking about my favorite neighborhood in Keizer. Don't forget to hit the bell button so you're notified when they come out.
Thanks for your feedback and support ☺️
@@SalemOR - Wow, I cannot wait to see the Keizer video!
I LOVE how you do the maps in your videos, showing all the main arteries. Also, how you explain the realities of accessing I-5 and how problematic it could be from some areas. For people who need to commute to Portland or PDX, that's handy to know!
KSEL " Salem" Airport is not a private it's an international airport. My wife and I enjoy your videos.
I’m glad you guys are enjoying the videos. Are you local to Salem?
This video is a bit old now and was made before the airport opened up commercially. But you’re right, the airport is no longer a private one.
@@SalemOR We live in Hubbard and go to Salem for dining and to use the Airport.
Oh fun! I have yet to eat there. Any menu recommendations that I have to try?
How is it for dog owners? I read mixed reviews of there being lots of cougars and bobcats . Do people keep pets indoors ?
People love their dogs here. I have heard about wildlife sightings but I've never personally experienced them or had any scares with my dog.
I think this is an amazing city to have a dog in because there are a lot of parks/dog focused areas around town.
I'd love to hear what other Salem-anders have to say about their experiences with wild life sightings.
Can you talk about your favorite neighborhoods in the north side of salem?
Thanks for the request. I have one coming out about Keizer and I’ll make sure to film a dedicated one all about N Salem.
how many homeless live in tents on the streets of Salem?
Great question! Oregon's homeless situation is complex, and honestly, there's no easy answer to your question. Do we have a homeless crisis in Oregon? Yes.
Do we have tents in and around Salem? Yes.
Do I know how many people are homeless in Salem? No.
The best way to get an answer to this question (especially as it relates to your own comfort levels) is to visit Salem and see what you make of it.
Do you have homeless where you live currently?
Keizer has lower property taxes than Salem. Most lots in Kiezer are flat and larger than those in Salem.
Thanks for sharing your knowledge around Keizer. I know others will find it helpful!
What do you think are the biggest pros and cons to living in Keizer?
@@SalemOR cons: no old neighborhoods, not much character, hard water. Pros: lower property taxes, close to I-5, much less homelessness, Keizer Rapids Park, with 5 acre fenced dog park , amphitheater, and paved river trail,
Good community spirit, volunteerism.
Some of the west side of Keizer are on Salem Electric and have lower rates..
Thanks for sharing, I'll have to add some of these to my next video about Keizer. I appreciate the input and you sharing your perspective.
Just make sure there's no homeless camps around you cause there are plenty of homeless in Salem.
You are correct. There are homeless and homeless camps in Salem. Oregon has a homeless crisis and if you are not used to seeing homeless people or camps, it can be a true shock.
I appreciate you highlighting this point. I know others who watch and read our conversation will be one the wiser to the realities of life in Salem.
Whats your favorite aspect about Salem?
REAL-tor, not -REE-LAH-tor.
Whine, whine, whine, it's not Portland....could you say that any more in your videos.
While our interpretations of the video differ, I do appreciate you voicing your concerns and feedback. It helps me improve as a content creator.
