    27:17, Wow that's almost a smooth and butter landing, even though the wind is strong. Great job to the pilot that is making the landing smooth.

    Hola Alex! Great new reporting! Yep, A220 with a 2-3 seating makes a heap of a difference. Nice plane, but definitely overpowered. Your commentary matches exactly my thoughts and that is why I like you so much! The complimentary gifts for your hijo says enough about your attitude towards the crew! If only there were more like you!! Obrigado, Gracias, hartstikke bedankt!!

    • @TheLayoverAviation
      @TheLayoverAviation  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Huge difference! I would really go out of my way to fly this aircraft instead of any other for now.
      I have to try the Embraer 190 E2. Same engines and an even lighter frame, so that one must be pretty powerful too. Just the cabin looks much tighter.. We’ll see!
      I try my best to always bring crew something, it makes it so much easier to brake the ice and have a chat😁
      Tot de volgende keer!

      I was going to get up and run away elsewhere but I could see the strict stare of the flight attendant when she heard my belt unbuckle..🥺
      I don’t even know what to publish next, have some simple flights, like these, but I also now have a stock of amazing ones and I don’t know what to publish!

    What a beautiful and detailed trip report! Great job! Honestly I didn't know that Lufthansa and Swiss are not offering coffee anymore for free. Shame on those carriers. I recently flew with Aegean Airlines and had complaints about the meal size... If I knew... As for the A220 it is always a pleasure to fly with this airplane with the tiny screens.

    • @sebastianliksza9892
      @sebastianliksza9892 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      True, you are right. In addition scamtrax still recognizes LH as 5* airline. The quality as in low cost

    • @TheLayoverAviation
      @TheLayoverAviation  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thank you!
      Well, under their pretext they now offer “better quality to those that want it”. While the coffee was indeed great, it’s quite sad the road it’s taking for those that wish to see it as a premium carrier (premium prices are charged too).
      I specially feel sorry for others that don’t expect it; imagine you’re traveling from Japan or Korea as an example, you pay for 5 star service, get an all included long haul flight, but suddenly have to pay on your Euro flight.
      Let’s see where it goes! But yes, I would definitely downgrade to 3 starts if Etihad and Emirates, for example, are considered 4 stars only!

    • @TheLayoverAviation

      It is not a very recent video so it might have been prior to them cancelling it, or it might have been a flight for maintenance purposes. I know BTS has some airline maintenance centers there.

    Oh brilliant I love a comparison video, I do have to say on a 320 you are squashed in like sardines I mean it’s not uncomfortable but it’s a tight space luckily I’m not a tall person. I’m so up for trying the A220 Iv heard a lot of good things, I love the exterior of the aircraft very smart and classy looking, I feel the inside looks a little spacious even though there are less seats but it does look a little more comfy. The A220 in the Swiss livery looks stunning 👏. Brilliant mate as always 👍🙏

    • @TheLayoverAviation

      The A320 was great in the 90’s and 00’s until low costs made an appearance and all planes got stuffed with 30 extra seats.
      The A220 is so much better then that, I was very surprised. Now I just have to see if it’s just Swiss that has these great interiors or if it’s everyone.

    How many planes can a pilot drive? If a pilot have a licence for A320, he can drive A330, A340 and A350?

    • @TheLayoverAviation
      @TheLayoverAviation  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It depends. Goverment aviation agencies have their own set rules, but mostly it’s one type only.
      If you fly the A320 you can fly the whole family, like for example, Air France pilots (A318, 319, 320 and 321)
      I also know some countries allow A320 & A330.
      Japan’s ANA allows pilots to fly both A320 and A380.
      They share a lot of commonality. So your question has quite a few answers..
      What I do know is that pilots won’t fly Boeing and Airbus let’s say!

    Oh wait. Your remark about the black triangle inside the Airbus cabins is wrong. It's for mantainence purposes. The mechanics ( like me ) are standing right at that sign to see if the flaps are in the right position and completely in line like they should be. Nothing else. I don't know where you get your information from but they are false.
    Those litte presents for the kids are really cute and nice. My first flight. How sweet is that......

    • @kinkyscent
      @kinkyscent 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I’m sorry to say that’s not very correct; as a pilot I can assure you that it’s the place I am trained to check for ice & other contaminations.
      For flaps & slats we have a nice informative system that can tell us, but for snow build up we only have our eyes.
      Cabin crew are also trained to check there.
      That does not mean that in your job role your answer is not correct.

    • @TheLayoverAviation
      @TheLayoverAviation  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hey Nikolaus, while it might have that purpose for mechanics (I don’t think I know any) it is very surely for wing contamination for pilots. Also for flaps or other wing related matters, but 99% ice/snow/frost.
      A Google search will confirm you this.
      Never late to learn something new!

      @@kinkyscent I am not a pilot and i am not sitting in the cockpit. I also never relay on LCD displays. I relay on my eyes and my tools. On a regular B check we extend the flaps from 5 to full and we have to check properly if they are in one line and in correct position anyway. That's all i can tell you.
