- Twenty years ago, SWISS embarked on its maiden voyage from Basel to Zurich. Since then, as the airline of Switzerland, it has been our mission to connect Switzerland to the world. Now, two decades later, we are taking a look back at all that we have accomplished, and we want to thank our loyal customers. As a way of giving something back, we have planned exciting birthday activities to last us through the year - and we want our customers to be a part of them.

Always happy memories with SWISS, I was rather young in 2002 but I remember when it was Swiss air and then became SWISS. It used to fly from Benghazi Libya to Zurich. This was a regular flight we always took as a family. My first flight as a child was with Swiss and has been ever since. 27 years later thank you for the best memories of my life.

Amazing how fast the fully lie-flat Business Class seat has become a standard. It is by far no competitive advantage anymore nowdays. The new Economy Class seat seems great! And even greater that you try to make flying greener! Keep improving 😃

You are an awesome airline and have one of the most beautiful liveries which one of my favorite planes: the 777-300er and the 340-300. Congratulations! What are the future plans for fleet? I know I am no body to say this, but if you are planning to quit the 340 in 2025, I wonder if you can consider the 330-900neo as an replacement. I mean, it literally have fleet same range, passenger capacity, and length. But more modern, efficient, and only 2 engine of last generation. Hope my comment was helpful and to visit Switzerland one day.

Here's hoping that you introduce more intercontinental flights from Geneva, and that Zurich-Osaka (launched in Feb 2020 and, well........!) gets re-introduced in a not too distant future.

Ich erinnere mich, dass ich die A340 von Swiss von Delhi nach Zürich geflogen bin, es war mein allererster Swiss-Flug und ein internationaler Flug, seit ich überall mit Swiss Airlines geflogen bin, ob international oder im Inland
First SWISS flight was from Basel to Zurich not Zurich to London (earlier on the same day).
