One of the things that differentiates you from the rest is that you point out the "little" but very important steps in between the "major" steps. This saves so much time when first learning, because you can get the major steps right, but if you mess up a little step it won't work ( and being new to the material, likely won't know why it's not working). Kudos for another superb tutorial!
Not being VBA fluent, I nearly always use the macro recorder to start and then clean up the code afterwards. This is a great intro-to-macros video and I wish more excel users automated their work.
I'm retired now and don't need macros, but spent a few decades using them to make my life easier sorting and analyzing data so I decided I'd watch and see what I remembered. Enjoyed the lesson and think you are a great instructor.
I'm ashamed to admit I never thought I would need macros, but your intro makes it look like something I should have mastered a long time ago. Leila, you are a star - thank you!
Thanks Leila I realized that in order to survive the ever demanding skillset required for a job as I had literally zero knowledge in macros till now...this video is definitely a starting point and looking forward to excel in it...looking forward many more macro videos
All of your videos are clearly defined yet so simple and direct in the steps. You always point out the small details that make a huge difference. Thanks again.
Thank you for this video! Lots of Data Analyst job postings in the UK ask for Advanced Excel (including Macros) and this video makes the process easily digestible, while remaining thorough. Much appreciated!
Great video. Your teaching style is exceptional. I’ve been using macros for almost 20 years and they have enabled me to provide better support to the teams I have worked with. Macros have also played a big part in helping our current small team to be more efficient and handle a larger workload. I’m really interested to check out your course. Since I’m mostly self taught, I’m sure there is a lot I can learn. I’m also hoping that I can get some of my coworkers to take the course as well.
Candidly, VBA code makes my hands and brow sweat . But yet again, Classic Leila explains it in a way that I understand (somewhat) but also in a way that makes VBA a bit less scary ... and intrigues me enough to venture forth into the dark world. Dynamic Tip: Ctrl-Shift-Down and Ctrl Shift-Right ... I had no idea ... love that tip and can use immediately. Again ... thank you ... thank you ... thank you ... and to state what everyone thinks, 'You are the best ...'.

I have always found your video tutorials to be exceptionally good. What I don't understand is how can a video this good be viewed over a million times but only get 20k Likes. Some of us appreciate you. Cheers Leila
Macro explanation was great, though VBA part went over my head. I have got to see again this and do practice. In a nut shell great video. Helpful information. Many ways I got it.
Your courses are just amazing and detailed, which helps in easy understanding, in fact I have even shared your link with a couple of people within my office who work on Data. Thanks again.
First learned about macros at the University 14 years ago, I was terrified of macros and vba... fast forward to now I feel I've progressed 1% creating macros, I still get stuck at times and fear messing up a file trying to edit the code in via, it can be frustrating, but explain it very simple and well! You make me wanna keep trying to get better at it thanks Leila!
"fear messing up a file trying to edit the code" Copy the code to a TXT file-eg into Notepad, Save As MyCode.txt: then you can always paste that back into VBA editor if you mess up.
VBA Macros are my life! The ability to code absolutely anything you want into Excel is probably what makes it the greatest software ever written. You can even write code that integrates with other MS products, for example, create some code to create a dynamic Outlook email from your excel file. If you get really creative you can code Excel to work with a barcode scanner for data entry! I have a 270+ page document of all the code that I have used or written over the last ten years, coz there is just too much stuff to remember... I use it almost every day, and it is very popular amongst my work colleagues. I have two sayings about Excel: 1. =vlookup, it will change your life! 2. When I die, bury me with a copy of Excel, I want to take it into the afterlife!
Hi Leila. Today i completed your Excel VBA and Macros Tutorials Playlist and it was wonderful experience. Got to know many new things. Thanks for this awesome content. Really Appreciate it.👌👌👌👌
Thanks Leila. Like many others, I find macros challenging. I don't use them enough to warrant spending a bunch if time "deep diving" into them, but tips like these are helpful. Thanks for the video.
Your videos are very useful for me. One consider insight your explanation is very fast. If you reduce the speed it will be easy to follow your explanation.

Ok, First time subscriber. Also, first time Excel user, after being a computer tech for over 20yrs! I have always installed but never needed to use Excel. I sold my business last year & I am now in a work force job where I need to use VB and Excel and this is all over whelming for the most part. I need to learn VB and Excel and I plan on using your TH-cam Videos to get me through this trial. Thank you for your video. I am glad I have the chance to go back because you do talk fast.................Sooooooooooo Fast! lol. That is ok though. When you know something well you will give out the information and it will go over the persons head. Data in Data Out.

Hi Mike just
I agree, it's the details that you mention that makes the video understandable
There are A LOT of steps Leila didn't mention to turn this in to an acceptable macro. Even chatGPT does a much better job 🙂
Leila is the 'baddest' Excel ninja on the planet. Period!
