The products from Clenzoil work very well to clean and as a preservative. I prefer Lucas products however on metal to metal contact points as I have not used anything that lasts as long, and doesn't evaporate in the presence of heat.

Why are you cleaning it bore brushing it if it's new? I understand lubricating it.
