Dude, i´m a Manowar fan since 1997. Do you really think i haven´t heard a whole album of them in one go? I heard "The Triumph Of Steel" and "Louder Than Hell" hundreds of times, for sure, and the other ones not much less.

Underrated Kings of Metal
Oh yeah, Manowar! I love this band and their style of epic power metal, they have created lots of anthemic songs and many of them are about nordic mythology, gods and war, heroic battles... I've seen them live with this show several years ago in Germany and it was amazing! Like you are amazing as always and I love your messy hair:-)😍

They have a story that is just a grandfather speaking an the sounds of what he us telling. Is nice.
There is Haggard, another great band, they are 17 musicians, violins, cellos, clarinet. A great soprano. Awakenig the centuries is a great song to listen first.

As someone who is a Manowar fan for more than 20 years (Manowar brought me to Metal), i disaprove the choice of this song. Don´t get me wrong, it´s good, but it does not show all of what Manowar is and does. There are tons of songs (maybe most of them) that would be way better present the Manowar sound to someone new to the band.

Yeah, Manowar is great. They have many different styles. They are very popular but many don't like them because they call themselves "kings of metal" and True Metal

I'm always interested to see people react to guitar solos when they're not used to musical breaks like this in their modern music. I've been enjoying these types of music since I was in grade school and absolutely love, as you said, thematic type stuff that feels like it's telling a story -- or journey -- and in Manowar's case, typically is.

Never clap your hands when listening to heavy metal, rule number 2, rule number 1 is never stop the video on guitar solo.
"He sounds like a musical instrument". Yes, that is the purpose of vocals. The pitch, tone, and timbre of the voice. Words (lyrics) will never be a musical aspect. It's how they are delivered that is important.
Hence most of the music I listen to I don't even understand the lyrics, their meaning is secondary.
You could check Manowar's song "Heart of Steel", it's more friendly to your ear might be.
Hearing your last thoughts about how the crowd sends you the feel of being united, you should see "die for metal" or warriors of the world.
Being in a Manowar concert is an unique experience, at that time I felt so alive and loved how all the "manowarriors" sang all the songs on that night

Saw Manowar live in a venue of about 200-250 people in Columbus, Ohio back about 1994. Couldn’t hear for 2 days afterwards! LOL, thankfully I can hear fine now at 51.. ;-) Anyways, Manowar has always been a themed band. They’ve got songs about the Trail of Tears, the Trojan War, found them when in the Navy and into DnD. Check out either Defender or Dark Avenger... both are narrated in part by Orson Wells. Would love to see your reaction to Eric’s vocal range in Dark Avenger, especially!
Manowar have been going for almost forty years. And, while Eric Adams's vocals aren't quite what once they were, he's still one of the best singers around. He once claimed to have an eight-octave range, which is just astonishing.
I think his vocals shine at their very best in Bridge of Death; but I don't know if there's a decent live recording of this song.
"Warriors of the world" and "Die for Metal" are great songs you have to listen too :)

Manowar are like the most metal of metal bands, when you think of "heavy metal band" they're pretty much what comes to mind. :) They take the concept to a whole new level.

Bismark - Sabaton. Sabaton makes all their songs about a battle or heroes within a battle or an event in history. I would recommend Bismark due to its cinematic video and its overall a very good song.

Manowar has a lot of spoken sections in their songs. You should check out anything from the album Fighting The World. Also they have a song called Blow Your Speakers. Manowar is in the book of world records as being the loudest band live.
Also in The Guinness book for the longest metal concert ever - 5 hours and 1 minute (2008 in Bulgaria)
There are bands that are LOUD AF!!......then, there's MANOWAR: The final decibel frontier.
If you like Blind Guardian and Manowar, Freedom Call might be up your ally. They give of a similiar vibe and are also pretty theatric. Gloryhammer is also pretty similiar, with a bit more of a war theme than Freedon Call

Girls who like Manowar music generally enjoy a strong climax.
Manowar is a storytelling band. A lot of the stories are set to have unfolded way back when, also known as Epic Metal. So going into that medieval(or earlier) headspace helps.

You can also refer to it as march music. Great music to close ones eyes to and imagine Yourself horseriding into battle, to the beat of the song (fx warriors of the world) or standing on a vikingship (fx Swords in the Wind). Playing out the scenario in Your head, as the "main role" of the story, is a good way of getting into Epic Metal, if it speaks to You. Can also be a good work out :)

Manowar was doing this stuff well before it was "cool" and pre Lord of the Rings Movie Era. If you want to go all the way back I feel that Queen I and II may have been first tackling these type of topics in Rock/Metal. Fairy king , Ogre Battle and others.

I can see that you like the Genre "Power Metal" the most. Yeah Manowar was True Metal but it isn't too far away from Power metal. I think you should try the Band Powerwolf. Its a German Powermetal Band who mixing christian and church things with werewolves. I recommend you the Song "Demons are a Girls best friend" from them.

Manowar's first album was released in 1982, and they've been headbanging ever since. Eric Adams has an amazing voice; look up his version of Nessun Dorma. The band is very heavily influenced by Norse mythology and most of their songs are anthems. Musically, they are beyond talented. Why they never get the same credit other groups do from their time period (ie. Metallica, Megadeth, etc.), I'll never know. The first three songs I ever heard were Fighting the World, Blow Your Speakers, and Carry On (first 3 songs from their 1987 album, Fighting the World) and I've been a Manowarrior ever since. Carry On is very different from the first two, pace-wise. The lyrics tend to be very aggressive, but that's the way it was for the Viking. Dawn of Battle is another amazing song that shows off the band's style.
