Managed to get lenses in straight away but struggle to take them out, optician has had to take them out both times Iâve tried.

I just learned that gently touching your pupil with the contact on it will not cause your eye to suddenly shut since the contact protects your pupil from actually being touched! I did the finger tweezers method and was able to easily get the contact out right off my pupil! it may take practice but youâll eventually figure it out! Thanks so much Doc! ððŧ

I've watched many videos on how to put in and take out the contacts! Yours works! I've been using my left hand to try and pull off my left (I only wear one) contact because it was on the same side. When I listened to you say use your dominant hand, it all made sense!!! I could grip with my right hand and finally pull that contact out!! Thanks!

Outstanding instructional video. If after watching this presentation, you still seem to be experiencing difficulty, try doing this: 1) if using the bathroom mirror, turn off the bright lights and use dim, indirect lighting. This will keep you from squinting and should feel more comfortable during the removal. 2) If my first suggestion doesn't work, turn off all the lights as you really don't even need illumination for removing contact lenses. There is one orbit (eyeball) on either side of your nose, so now you have your landmarks! The advantage of performing removal in dim or no light is that, hopefully, you will focus your vision straight forward, not blink excessively, and not experiencing discomfort from bright lights. Remember to pincer grasp the lower third of the lens, not the middle. You will definitely feel the lens come off as you complete this task. Trust me. . . I'm a doctor! ÂŊ\_(ã)_/ÂŊ
