I couldn't agree more or put it better than Simeon Odira. I'm a #Suba, a Bantu sub-tribes from Mfangano Island, but I speak dholuo better than my original language (olusuba). It's a common phenomenon in Suba South & North constituencies, formerly Gwassi & Mbita. Very few #Subas along L. Victoria (Gwassi, Sindo, Rusinga & Mfangano Islands) can speak olusuba.., they assimilated into the dominant Luo language in the region.

This will settle the debate dichiel. In fact i told him of all those dhoudi and he was still mbwakni. People should just imagine Rorya to be a natural extension of Migori county that was rudely interrupted by a white mans border drawn in 1884, Berlin, Germany.

In 1964 a Ugandan John Okello(Luo-Langi) led the revolution that freed black Zanzibaris who had been subjugated in Zanzibar during Omani Arab rule . Sultan Jamshid Bin Abdullah fled to exile in the UK . Mostly Arab and Indian populations also fled . At least 17000 deaths during the revolution . Afro-Shirazi party leader Sheikh Abeid Karume became president of Zanzibar .
Field Marshall John Okello's revolution led to unification between Zanzibar Island and Tanganyika Mainland hence Tanzania . He was expelled from the Island and later disappeared in Uganda under Idi Amin . John Okello like President Milton Obote, a close friend of Kenya VP Oginga Odinga, had previously worked in Kenya . He was Jailed in Kenya during independence struggle against the White British(between 500k-1million Kenyans lost their lives in the conflict) and later left for Zanzibar upon his release . There he launched the revolution in 1964 .

@@KPtravels001 Please do not fall into Ug politics. When you come to Ug talk to the real Luo/Lwo just like if we go to Kenya we must understand from your views first because you would know it better. Do you know that genocide of Bunyoro took place as a result of betrayal by Langi soldiers? The British nearly wiped out the people in Bunyoro who had true Lwo/Luo amongts them. In Uganda the Acoli soldiers who worked with Obote and students who studied in Lango realized something was wrong. Do not trust anything Luo-Langi we do not want it and we do not recognize it nor do we want to encourage it. If he John did things in Zanzibar we do not need to take the credit for it, that this was done by a Lwo/Luo.

@@KPtravels001 Both Jomo Kenyatta and Julius Nyerere fearing a similar fate that befell Zanzibar Sultan conspired to have John Okello declared an unwanted person in Tanzania or Kenya . Incidentally a coup plot against Jomo Kenyatta in 1971 was led by the best trained Kenya Airforce pilot post independence Fredrick Collins Omondi Oyoo and Airforce Daniel Owino from Lanet Barracks . They were supported by Prof.
Ouma Muga who was at Makerere at the time . Julius Nyerere revealed the plot to Jomo Kenyatta .
Back in Uganda Idi Amin targeted anybody he became suspicious of hence the disappearance of John Okello . Idi Amin removed Milton Obote(Luo-Langi) in 1971 but Milton Obote ,supported by VP Oginga Odinga and Julius Nyerere was restored in 1979 with Uganda exiles led by Gen Tito Okello(Luo-Acholi) ,Gen Oyite Ojok(Luo-Langi) and Gen Bazillio Okello(Luo-Acholi) .
Mwanza and Kisumu port were Used extensively by Uganda exiles and VP Oginga Odinga hosted Luo-Acholi,Luo-Langi soldiers in his Bondo home . At least 300 Luo-Acholi soldiers died when their boat capsized in Lake Victoria on their way to Entebbe/Kampala against Idi Amin . They had been trained by Gen Bazillion Olara Okello and it was the lowest point in his career as a soldier .

That is what Acoli soldiers came to realize they were being sabotaged by you Langi. Tito Okello, Bazilo and other Acoli generals cannot die in vain, we stand with them.
