- A male lion coalition managed to get close to a warthog family and catch them off guard one of the little warthogs wasn't quick enough.

thats what you call advantage every predator does that they go for the weakest amd i think from first it's target was the baby one coz it ran early if it was bigone they could go littlebit closer but still would catch it and finish easilly coz if a leopard can kill a big worthog than thats not a big prob to the biggest cat of africa lion's can take buffaloes alone too sometime's
@@chrisfearn3375 speed & experience talks for the warthogs the lion can obviousely not run as fast as worthogs because of its heavyness but if it catchs one its game over forsure thats y the warthog didnt even comeback to save the baby something they would do against other predators like leopards,cheetah,wilddogs and hyenas they know they yave no chance against this kings of beasts so they'll go as far from them as possible

I've seen mother Warthogs go on the attack to defend their brood from Lion attacks many times, sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. I've seen a Lioness sustain a horrendous gash up one of their hind legs for attacking the wrong Warthogs family, the injury would not have been survivable. Does this mean any and every Warthog does this? Of course not.
That Lion didn't single out anything, it just ran at the group. It is one of the least intelligent, least effective hunters in Africa. People like you making sweeping, outrageous statements on these videos is beyond laughable. Trying to compensate for your own inadequacies vicariously through Lions I think would warrant a couple of years of therapy.
