This is the first time I ever heard of her. She is awesome and such an inspiration to me. We need more humans like her. Love and peace to all women in all countries. We have to help ourselves out. Man only want to control us.

Social justice is needed at world level, not just Iran, she is absolutely right. She is doing great job of filling gaps between east and west. Where are all muslim haters ?
She is well-spoken and has many valid points, but let's not forget that she actively opposed the man and the government form that allowed her to receive an education and her station in life, and she still speaks ill of that man, while still supporting the source of the ideas that she actively opposes. She is a mass of contradictions who ought to leave the big picture to others. However, she has an incisive wit and mind for details. Academics accept her views wholesale far too much.

Call me naive, but I was always under the impression that feminism is about promoting equality between the sexes and not being jerks to each other because of gender. Obviously there are some women who take it too far, but I would think the majority of feminists are reasonable, rational people who know better than to tip the scales in favour of one group over another.

I’m Iranian and after listening to her speeches I don’t agree with her on many points, but respect her courage specially about women’s rights. As far as the sanctions and removing all Iranian tv stations that is just WRONG. In a free society you need to give two opposing sides equal opportunity. During the iran-Iraq war there was chemical attacks against Iranians and it was never covered in the western media. To this day no one mentions it on any western tv stations. If you remove all opposing media then how is that any different from dictatorship you are trying to fight? That’s is why I can’t no longer support her cause. I support her women’s rights movement wholeheartedly.

I had always thought Iran gave many rights to women, including being in parliment and holding law positions!?
BS soldiers are young men doing a job their leaders tell them. They are human beings not toys and they are expendable just like all of us when it comes to the corporate bottom line. I believe in justice for them also.
