@@ChristopherAycock78 lol I turnfight 109 G's in my P-47. I need to have an energy advantage though so it is kind of pseudo-energy fighting. But really I just bait them into a climb and then pop landing flaps, turn, burn, and fire. The landing flaps on the 47 are actually amazing, and give it the turn time of something like a 109F - and the 47 usually has better roll too. I suck at boom and zooming though, so maybe that's part of it :P Seriously, what am I supposed to do about that one dude who's always above me, even when I side climb? Anyway, guess I'll find out tomorrow. Jengar always inspires me to fly out my BnZ planes.

Pure Killing Machine. Can be used as ground mopper but it wastes 70% of its potential and lethality overall. Another well made vid Jengar! Thanks mate for covering one of the real killers out there in their proper role and environment.
Thank you Jengar and all your videos. The P47 is a menace! This bird hits hard and is an extremely reliable BnZ. I recon it better than the 190, just my opinion. I have just unlocked the plane & boy o boy, I tell you! I am thoroughly enjoying this beast!!
Ah Jengar, my fav plane :) After removing airspawn i am maintaining 4.6 K/D with this plane. I confirm that FM is very good. Decent roll-rate, deadly firepower, good climb-rate. I recommend to take always 18min of fuel and side-climb always! Its not wise to engage before reaching 5000m in my opinion. Beeing above 5000m with high speed you are dictating the rules. Best map for this plane is Norway where you can see how this plane shines on 6k+ altitude. The worse is this german map where are 32x railroad wagons. The planes that you should aware (even when are on your altitude) are german P47 and Ta152 IMO. I use 400m conv and that is very good for ~1.7km headons. I have uploaded my first public video yesterday with 8 kills in RB in it. Yep, this plane can win matches. P47N15 on the high speed doesnt have the same control as P47D28, rudder is locking up and its little weird. Due to limited WEP (15min) you need to play agressive after 10 min of game time. I am wonder how it performs with MEC - is there anybody who check this?
Set & Forget MEC for max RPM & WEP without overheating or performance loss : 77% prop pitch at all time , 84% mixture on all alt ( a little higher when bellow 1km ) and open rads to only 5% .
4000 m people with better experience than me told me to and i tried it in test flight and in realistic battle hundreds of time while using the local hosts to show stats , this settings give the max RPM & Thrust at all alts with minimum rads to decrees drag and without overheating to wep for 15 mins straight )) .

P-47 is my all time favorite prop in real life and I’ve recently got this one, and I have to say it is my favorite prop in war thunder now, my only wish is that allied teams would get more than 5 fighters per battle
People using the p-47 with its ass to the grass are using it in its correct occupation, in Italy they loaded rockets and 3 500 pounders, climbed to 15k feet, dove on their target, bombed and rocketed bridges then went on patrol for targets of opportunity with their guns and whatever rockets they had left. It was a versatile fighter/ground attack aircraft depending on the payload.
Am i correct in thinking you used to mainly focus your game plays on Air AB? I really enjoy these Air RB reviews they are an absolute diamond in the rough among all the rest of the generic WT content on YT ;) keep doing what you do. You're the one content creator that easily get's me hyped on jumping back into WT for that "one last round" :P
I have no issues using this beast as an air superiority fighter. It turns fights just fine in my experience... Climbs well, retains energy extremely well...
technically it is, but a thunderbolt in this game is most usefull on altitude. The ass to the grass p-47's is one of the reasons why US teams perform sub par.
In this plane i prefer tracer belts with smoke deployed on your wings. In headon situations, your opponents will see a death rather than a chance for their kill. Tracers are good for "ratatatatatatata" :-)
For fighting planes there's a lot of options, stealth is probably the best if you can hit with it. tracers are the best on paper since every shot is an API, the only problem is the tracer part expect everyone to take evasive action instantly. For ground pounding which you really shouldn't do outside of tank RB. Default is the best since it has the highest ratio of regular AP which has a bit better pen. Honestly with late m2's every belt is pretty good at everything.
Hi Jengar Great Videos I have a question, I'm a noob on war thunder and I was wanting to know when using the reverse camera, how do you turn so smoothly? I use the W,S,A,D,Q,E for my controls, and C to look in reverse. When I look back on my 6 I can use the rudder and the aileron and the elevator to attempt a turn but it's nothing like you do. I use my mouse to turn left and right when I'm looking forward, do I bind another key for turning? If so which one do I use? Also I'm right handed, so all my controls are used on my left hand.Any help is appreciated. Thanks. Maybe a video?

the n15 got a better roll rate and it's better only above 7km where engagements rarely happen so you're better off with the d28 , the d25 suck ass tho .

I just recently got into flying realistic battles especially with this P-47 and I can tell you this is an awesome ground pounder and fighter that holds it's own. Unfortunately I've gotten so much critisism from other players because they say I should concentrate on dogfights instead of ground pounding. I usually start with destroying base, than next with ground targets with guns and last of all if nessessary, dogfight. If no dogfighting, than I go back to base and reload. I've gotten good scores with this tactic and I plan on sticking with it but because of critisism, I'd thought I'd ask you and because I was told that you said ground pounding was a waste of time. Is that true JENGAR?
It's not that it's a waste of time (since score is score, regardelss of how you obtained it) but it's a missed opportunity to REALLY help your team win by killing their planes and besides that if you wanna bomb use a bomber!This is a fighter. Fighters and fighter-bombers are PRIMARILY for air superiority. Do whatever is fun to you, it's a game, so enjoy it but if I really have to be honest about it and say things the way they are this is a huge noob tactic.

The "Correct" fashion!?!? Do you even History, Mr.J?? This was the premier fighter-bomber of the 9th & 12th AF. T-bolts moved more mud than any other single-engine US fighter. The _proper_ example would be YOU using the Jug with ordinance in a mixed battle!
As I always said, you're one of the best Jengar, always enjoy your videos but your squad team sucks, I was able to get in, but one month after I was kicked out by an idiot just because I didn't play too much according to him, like if one doesn't have a life and it's just about playing wt 24/7 :v it's a shame...
ty Josue, ppl get kicked from NmY when they reach 0 activity ingame (visible in the squadronpage next to your name, AND linked to that if you didnt leave an absence report. So if you know you cant fly for more then 2 weeks (which takes you to 0 activity), you need to leave an absence report, otherwise you get rtemoved for new ppl wanting to get in. Ppl removed for inactivity can always reapply. so can you. So the officer that removed you was not an idiot, but just doing what he should be doing.
@@jengar6258 basically you're requesting people that can play all days and not only that, but always play squad, I was banned because I discussed with that person, they act like chasing people instead of helping, but it's ok... I won't make this a big issue and just accept it.
thats not true, we ask ppl to not run to 0 activity, and thats two weeks of no play, and even then, if you leave and absence report we wont remove you. I think thats completely fair, and yeah, we do expect ppl to regularly fly with the squadron, but that also doesnt have to be every day.
The problem I have with the USA bolts isn't the bird, its that USA teams suck so damned hard they would make a Brazzers model jealous! IDK how many times I've tried to take out Daddy's Girl or Ugly Duckling and find I am THE ONLY ONE WHO ISN'T FARMING as the ENTIRE team is nothing but attackers, bombers, and fighters with shit strapped. At least when bolts had an airspawn you could get some epic Bolt VS Bolt matches, now that the airspawn is gone? 90% of the bolts I see are "ass in the grass" as you put it or filthy farmers as I call 'em. I'd love to see the W/L rate by nation as I have a feeling USA teams are losing at least 85% if not more because as long as there is no limit to attackers and fighters are allowed to strap shit without earning RP like in GF? Then USA teams will continue to be the punchline in WT. Hell I can get 3 and 4 kill runs in my fricking duck against USA teams, how more sad and pathetic can a team get when ducks are feasting on them?
Jengar The problem is blind hunt has royally buttraped tactics in the game and unless you are in something with a REALLY damned good climb rate? You'e fucked. This is what I find happens with a good 80% of my Allied matches when not in a super prop like a Spit...start side climbing, entire team gets slaughtered without killing shit before I even reach 4k because they are all farmers, Enemy team uses blind hunt and suddenly I'm facing an 8+ to 1 with 5 above and 3-4 below. The simple fact is Gaijin hasn't bothered updating air RB in over 4 years and bombers and attackers simply do not fit the meta, how many maps can bombers and attackers actually win the game by doing their job? You can count them on one hand with fingers left over because the old "3 bombing bases plus airfield" was made at a time when the majority of countries had VERY few bombers and attackers. If that wasn't bad enough by adding France to the Allies (which makes no damned sense as the French fought with the Axis longer than the Italians did) they have just made things even more lopsided by adding a shit ton more bombers and attackers without the ability to do anything useful in a match on the allies which were already lopsided as hell. If you can take an 8v1 with the entire group swarming WITHOUT using an exploit like base camping? I would honestly like to see that, as even Adam514 can't seem to take more than 4v1 at once and he is the best defensive guy I've ever seen in the game, but as far as I'm concerned if I spawn into a match and see my entire team is farmers? I'm just J'ing out, not gonna waste my team on a team that has zero shits to give about anything but farming lions and RP like some WoW gold farmer. If there are even a few willing to play right and fight? I'll try to carry but like I said in my "USA fail" vid if the entire team just wants to farm instead of try to do anything useful? Then screw them, not wasting my time with a team that only gives a shit about their own RP at the cost of everyone else, I refuse to reward selfish douchebags by helping them.

The d28 p47 climbs fantastically now I've now clubbed everything even me109 f4s and spitfire f mk ix and the xp50 which are dangerous aircrafts

You are correct sir, i focus on RB these days, although i started in ab, years ago. Now i do mainly rb, with ab added for the premium reviews.

Ass to the grass is not the "incorrect" way. The P47 was not only a fighter but also an attack plane.

Well I'd say put the let the P47s unload on the ground targets while the P51s dogfight, then let the P47s climb and go in the dogfights as well
most p-47's dont leave the groundpounding alive unfortunately.

With MEC you can just set the radiator to 50% and the oil to 100 and you're good to go

well after the air spawn removal they had to balance it out a little so it's not complete shit , now it out climbs p51d30s above 5km .

As I always said, you're one of the best Jengar, always enjoy your videos but your squad team sucks, I was able to get in, but one month after I was kicked out by an idiot just because I didn't play too much according to him, like if one doesn't have a life and it's just about playing wt 24/7 :v it's a shame...
ty Josue, ppl get kicked from NmY when they reach 0 activity ingame (visible in the squadronpage next to your name, AND linked to that if you didnt leave an absence report. So if you know you cant fly for more then 2 weeks (which takes you to 0 activity), you need to leave an absence report, otherwise you get rtemoved for new ppl wanting to get in. Ppl removed for inactivity can always reapply. so can you. So the officer that removed you was not an idiot, but just doing what he should be doing.
@@jengar6258 basically you're requesting people that can play all days and not only that, but always play squad, I was banned because I discussed with that person, they act like chasing people instead of helping, but it's ok... I won't make this a big issue and just accept it.
thats not true, we ask ppl to not run to 0 activity, and thats two weeks of no play, and even then, if you leave and absence report we wont remove you. I think thats completely fair, and yeah, we do expect ppl to regularly fly with the squadron, but that also doesnt have to be every day.

The problem I have with the USA bolts isn't the bird, its that USA teams suck so damned hard they would make a Brazzers model jealous! IDK how many times I've tried to take out Daddy's Girl or Ugly Duckling and find I am THE ONLY ONE WHO ISN'T FARMING as the ENTIRE team is nothing but attackers, bombers, and fighters with shit strapped. At least when bolts had an airspawn you could get some epic Bolt VS Bolt matches, now that the airspawn is gone? 90% of the bolts I see are "ass in the grass" as you put it or filthy farmers as I call 'em.
I'd love to see the W/L rate by nation as I have a feeling USA teams are losing at least 85% if not more because as long as there is no limit to attackers and fighters are allowed to strap shit without earning RP like in GF? Then USA teams will continue to be the punchline in WT. Hell I can get 3 and 4 kill runs in my fricking duck against USA teams, how more sad and pathetic can a team get when ducks are feasting on them?

This is what I find happens with a good 80% of my Allied matches when not in a super prop like a Spit...start side climbing, entire team gets slaughtered without killing shit before I even reach 4k because they are all farmers, Enemy team uses blind hunt and suddenly I'm facing an 8+ to 1 with 5 above and 3-4 below.
The simple fact is Gaijin hasn't bothered updating air RB in over 4 years and bombers and attackers simply do not fit the meta, how many maps can bombers and attackers actually win the game by doing their job? You can count them on one hand with fingers left over because the old "3 bombing bases plus airfield" was made at a time when the majority of countries had VERY few bombers and attackers. If that wasn't bad enough by adding France to the Allies (which makes no damned sense as the French fought with the Axis longer than the Italians did) they have just made things even more lopsided by adding a shit ton more bombers and attackers without the ability to do anything useful in a match on the allies which were already lopsided as hell.
If you can take an 8v1 with the entire group swarming WITHOUT using an exploit like base camping? I would honestly like to see that, as even Adam514 can't seem to take more than 4v1 at once and he is the best defensive guy I've ever seen in the game, but as far as I'm concerned if I spawn into a match and see my entire team is farmers? I'm just J'ing out, not gonna waste my team on a team that has zero shits to give about anything but farming lions and RP like some WoW gold farmer.
If there are even a few willing to play right and fight? I'll try to carry but like I said in my "USA fail" vid if the entire team just wants to farm instead of try to do anything useful? Then screw them, not wasting my time with a team that only gives a shit about their own RP at the cost of everyone else, I refuse to reward selfish douchebags by helping them.
