The SCDF (Singapore Civil Defence Force) is no run of the mill fire and emergency rescue service organisation. The SCDF is a full fledged paramilitary force dedicated to the defence of the civilian population on a war preparedness footing. They operate the air raid sirens and the air raid shelters. In times of war, they can requisition private civilian assets such as ships, heavy vehicles, warehouses, etc etc on land and sea. They operate hazmat, foam, water vehicles as well as tracked vehicles on muddy land and seacrafts and air field fire fighting rescue. Mass casualties and evacuation are also trained for. They have equipment for forest fire and ship to shore emergency air evacuation. They can also tackle oil field fires and high rise and collapsed building rescue. In short it is an awesome force. Good job guys.
Actually illegal to run a red light even if to give way. Emergency vehicles are even required to switch off their sirens when behind traffic at red lights to not pressure ppl into running red lights. Reason is that regular traffic are just not trained, audible and visible enough to run red lights safely. Risk vs reward thing.
In my country, the HI-LO sound is used when transporting critical patients and for organ transportation. When this siren is activated, even VIPs are expected to yield and make way for the ambulance
Wow!! Amazing catch! 🤩😍 That siren tone reminds me of the VPD hi-lo here in Vancouver.

Why would a VIP not yield for an ambulance I wonder?
The hospital is Khoo Teck Puat (spelled wrongly)
Same as you hear in Thailand and hong kong
