Interesting how after Edith made it clear she did not like lied to, Kirk and Spock proceed to only speak the truth from that moment on. Kirk not even inventing an alias for Spock.
I was watching this for the romantic tune that was originally made for "The Conscience of the King" when they stroll on the observation deck. The composer, Joe Mullendore, also did an "elevator music" version of the Star Trek theme, and something for the opening play scene. He then did another variant that was used in this episode while they're stealing the clothes. Lenore's theme was the best of the lot.

Yes, he did. It's in *Star Trek 2,* and it's a combination of Ellison's script and what was aired. Ellison pronounced himself pleased with it in *Again, Dangerous Visions.
