In case you don't know, cause I didn't know. the Hip joint can be tighten by pressing it in together, they work like the Free! Haruka and makoto hip. You should be able to hear a snapping sound after you push it in, they give you the option of loose hip for some poses. The figure is SOLID.
Nice review. I'm a little lost when trying to tell the difference between real and fake versions of this product. The reason I'm getting confused is some people have said this is a fake version but on the other hand I have not seen anyone that has a version of this product with a face to match what's shown on the box. I certainly have not seen much variation of this figure anywhere else on the internet so this must be the real deal.
I wish it would've come with the USP. I mean, he didn't even have access to an assault rifle until the 2nd half of the game. Now I think and hope they make a raiden and give him the plethora of guns he had access too. But nonetheless I still would get this figure because mgsol was my favorite installment

I wasn't confused at all, and I love the subtle kept you waiting, 10 days until Phantom Pain and this is a figure I will get, actually I won't, the price point was a tax extreme and he did rather lack in accessories, I opted for the revol mini venom snake who not only has the looks of the new snake, but comes with more than enough goodies for snake to pose with, his articulation is great and he's a lot better than the others in the line, his sculpt is based off the artwork for the games so if your a true MGS fan I recommend it, besides someone has to do a decent review of the figure and your the guy I'd love to see do it.

I think that for the asking price being a decent enough figure doesn't cut it. I even have doubts of calling it "decent". Let's see: loose as hell joints and torso; limbs that can fall off when trying to take advantage of the (admittedly very good) articulation, horrid paintjob (1. the face will forever be one of the best examples of waiting for a review instead of trusting the promo-shots -even if this is applicable to a lot of figures, not at this level- 2. the bodysuit has the wrong color plus the pouches lack shading); and a second face that looks off. And that's talking about the figure: one of the accesories risks the integrity of the toy while they had the kind thought of leaving the iconic socom pistol as a web exclusive. I love MGS and I have my fair share of average or flawed figures...I can deal with that. But it's clear that Figma has done and should do better than this. While I'm no fan of revoltech's tendency to make action figures that only look good in exaggerated poses, their releases of Big Boss & Raiden are much better than this Solid Snake (even with Big Boss' weird PW 2D facesculpt and those very obvious shoulder joints). Not to mention at a fair price as well.
This is not a good figure and not worth the 70+ price tag. a total disappointment/failure(and I'm a huge mgs fan :/) Do yourself a favor and spend your cash at something else(Even the PAK snake seems more solid joint wise and I dislike PAK)
