i think "完全感覚Dreamer" EP ( 2010, the first EP of 4 members/ "restarted " ) is climbing up/ getting popular stage , because that is the first time they got into above top 10 in Oricon chart (kind of Billboard chart in Japan )
About My first story , although I'm not a big fan , Ido think they have some great songs and full of passion in live, I think Hiro is getting better in lives now , he is young and talent , so I think he will get much better and better :)

hey there i love your videos and I'm new to your channel! So just to give yah so info one ok rock blew up in Japan around the end of 2010 that is also when they held their first stadium concert at Budokan and their breakthrough album in japan that pushed them forward was Niche Syndrome. they took a break in 2009 because their 5th member left the band so they change their sound a bit which led to the kanzen kankaku dreamer single. their breakthrough album in the USA is of course 35vxxx and Ambitions. around 2012 they did collabs with 21 pilot and Fall out boy which led to recognition in the USA.

nice to see some fresh reaction. ive heard few of my first story music & my own opinion(dont bash me), it really sound japan_music if u get what i mean. he got high voice but its not for me. d live performance is a bit lacking too. did i sound too negative? i did check them out to see if its for me but i guess not. as i like uverworld,orangerange,larcenciel song but theres a like&dislike at their main PV song. but to OOR, theres nothing to dislike

Hello from Japan ;) I don't think Hiro hates Taka. He just wants to try hard to be better than Taka since he has always got compared with him all the time since they were little. And I really think Taka is happy that his young brother is having these passions toward him. As everyone heard from Taka's mouth in 18 fes performance speech, he wants all the young kids who have passions toward something, to continue to have them and become better than OOR. (He'll also keep trying to be better than himself.) I am sure this message is also toward Hiro so..I love OOR so I love all his family and want to support all of them ;) Sorry if my reply sound any rude to you....^^; I don't mean to.

One youtuber has sent critical comments from j-rock fans by uploading k-pop's reaction video. There are also a lot of people uploading the reaction video of both OOR and MFS, and there is the fact that the channel has not been criticized. You may have some fans who are dissatisfied a bit because you started with OOR's reaction only. But the fans know your sincere personality. I am sorry I confused you.

You should listen to My first story! They're really good but Hiro is pretty awful at singing live...well at first he was, he was kinda shy and sang in a very tiny voice, he also didn't hit the high notes, it was really awful. But he became better, they're also doing bigger concerts now! So I'm happy for that! ^o^

Hahah yeah the lastest concerts are really good! ^o^ I guess he became more confident! I also think he kinda feels the pressure from OOR fans who keep comparing him to Taka.
But for example 'Swanky dank ft. Hiro - Sink like a stone' is an epic song, Hiro owns the song but live...it's terrible, I can't listen to it. It's kinda sad but I'm happy he is more comfortable on stage now!

I think both. Hiro is a really good singer he just can't control his voice like Taka, plus he's just not confident enough. You have to keep in mind tho that they have only been a band for 6 years so they're pretty new. They still need to build their confidence compared to OOR who started in 2005. They're definitely getting better lately! Last year their Japan tour was completely sold out in a few days!! They performed at Budokan for the first time! They're becoming more popular now but compared to OOR they're still pretty tiny xD
Taka definitely doesn't want Hiro the feel this pressure. The fans are the ones who give him the pressure because they feel the need to compare them.

My first story are a band for 6 years? People told me that One ok rock became very popular in 2013.
So at this point One ok rock were a band for 8 years (you said they started 2005).
So in 2 more years Hiro might be as confident as Taka was in 2013?

I think it is amazing that Hiro still makes music and sings live and fights to get better even if people say he can't sing live and compare him to taka. It must be tough for him..

... sorry, it is the last minute special/exceptional request, if you could react to "ONE OK ROCK - Be the light [Official Music Video]" today the March 11th (6 yrs ago today Japan had gone through the tragic event and I believe OOR wrote this song for all the tragedies in the world recalling that day in Japan.)
I guess Taka was influenced by Linkin Park ,so sometimes this song reminds me of their style.

just my personal opinion, I don't like My First Story, I heard Hiro singing once or twice - his voice is more high-pitched than Taka, but thinner, it doesn't have that substantial voice/power feel - in terms of stage performance and aesthetics, Hiro's actions look like how rock singers should perform, all his actions look good (I don't like his voice) -> that makes me feel his performance is more focused on how he looks rather than the power of his voice, I get the feeling he's rather artificial. If I use a cake analogy, Hiro is like the cream on the cake without substance. And because I don't really watch MFS' performances, I can't say whether he's improved or not.
and just to see whether there's any basis for my prejudice, I just watched MY FIRST STORY, Missing You【Official Video】, my verdict still remains the same. I guess he's not so bad since MFS can keep releasing albums, but I don't connect with his voice. It would be interesting if you'd like to react to this or other MV, and share with us what you think of Hiro's voice/performance.

Rienne Koh Some japanese people don't like MFS too. In my opinion I can't find "roots and faith" from their song and live. I think Hiro is just pretending to Taka.

I don't like Hiro. He was supported by Taka when he was young. But now, the brothers have been compared, and only OOR become too big. MFS is also big but cannot be compared with their popularity. So Hiro hates Taka. I think Hiro is childish.

I also heared that they like each other but don't have that much contact because the parents are divorced and one was living by the mother and the other one by the father. In the translation he says that he wants to be number one in Japan in 2021 and that he has just one rival he wants to surpass and that this rival is his older brother Taka (One ok rock). But there was nothing like "I want to kill OOR" or "I hate Taka" or something like that. I have seen the video where he breaks the clock. But isn't that just show behaviour?
