It's a really solid kit! The only thing that is missing really is the aluminum front bulkhead and camber block. Otherwise everything else is in the box!
Sort of... from what I’ve seen on 22 groups people are recommending getting This DC Elite Kit, then a few 5.0 AC parts for carpet. That’s cheaper than getting 5.0 AC and upgrading it for the rear blocks and elite parts.
There is no 5.0 AC Elite so that’s why people suggest what I replied before. Might come someday though, TLR is being very secretive about new stuff coming. 22x-4 and whatnot.
The 22 5.0 is actually a great stock buggy. I think you'll be surprised how light it weighs in at. Minimum weight is 1500g so keep that in mind when you're all done
I have just gotten a standard 5.0. I am new to rc, and im unsure of what parts to buy to complete the car. Im missing these parts Motor Electronic Speed Control Servo Radio System 48 Pitch Pinion Gear Charger Battery Any help and links would be much appreciated.

Actually, it’s Gil Jr., not Carl. 🙂 Anyway, I got mine the day after you did. I was also bummed about missing out on the contest. I got some advice after my purchase, and they recommended a few extra parts that might come in handy. Most importantly, the front spindles come with an outer aluminum insert to adjust the axle’s offset to the king pin on the outside. For extra strength, TLR recommends getting an additional pair of those aluminum inserts for the inside of the spindles as well. Another “nice to have“, but not necessary, are outer aluminum hubs for the VHA rear assembly. Nothing wrong with the composite pieces that come in the box, but a fully decked out aluminum hub sure looks nice. Finally, the only carbon pieces that don’t come in the box, the optional carbon fiber battery trays. Overall, I’m really happy with the value, considering everything that comes in the box already... but, there’s always more stuff to upgrade and bling out. 😁

What is everyone using to the trim the back wing? The plastic is a lot harder and seam to crack when I cut it.

The ac 5.0 is pretty dialed out the box 319.00 USD on several companies and web pages

I love mine too. Super durable! You will need to get the aluminum servo horn though.
