Great build and love the deck cleaning additions to bring it to life. One minor point, the door on the rear of the turret has been hinged on the wrong side, the hinge side is on the left and latches on the right to allow the crew to enter/exit from the ladder. I’m sure it will be easy to rectify though :)
Beautiful model, well done. One problem I noticed was the rear turret door is hinged the wrong way. It should swing on the left side hinges, the way is is now you would not be able to enter or exit to the ladder to it's right.
I have seen a few of your build blogs now - the 1/350 Akagi was absolutely fantastic and your talent with photoetch is irrefutable...your 32 scale zero is a brilliant piece of plastic model kit assembly, painting, weathering and finishing, even your 72 scale models are works of art. This project is no different Sir, I thought your adding of the figures really brought the kit to life and added that extra dimension of the modelmakers art you are becoming synonymous for. I personally do not care how accurate your work is. It's lovely to look at, and that's all I care about. I applaud you and your work Sir! A fantastic channel and really beautiful work! Please keep going!
When I think of 1:72 scale I think ‘small’ . Could you imagine the size of the full Yamato in 1:72 scale. Just the turret is one of the largest 1:72 scale model I have ever seen. Beautifully done, the 1:72 scale tanks I used to build would fit in the palm of my hand.
That is a lot of plastic, I wonder if they would make it in 1/35th scale, now that would be huge. Lovely job, Sir, you brought this kit to life in your most excellent modelling style.
Wow. Just wow. so large, and yet so intricately detailed. As an afterthought, I like how the diorama shows the crew going about their duties. (As I believe it was once said, the Imperial Navy worked eight days a week.) Fantastic project.
Personally, I wouldn't dream of making a model of a battleship gun turret _without all the stuff that's in the ship interior:_ all the loading and transport mechanisms from the bottom deck right up to the breach loading.
around the 10:30 mark You got the ladder wrong the top half you put pointing out. a person would never climb a ladder like that. The Model and your skills are awesome thank you.
you always forget the real life scale of main guns, it's still amazing that the 18 inch Gun was very large and there's only one left as a display in Kure
99999999999999999999⁹9⁹⁹⁹999⁹9,
I don’t think the Missouri was any where near the same size. correct me if I am wrong.
This video helps put into perspective how MASSIVE Yamato and her sister ship, Musashi were. Very impressive and great video. 👍

Watching your vids always lets me learn shortcuts for my own hobbying.
Thanks for always including information in English in your videos 👍
36:40 the rear door of the gun should open to left side, not to the right, because as in this model the door opening obstructs acess to ladder.
Those rivets along the bottom must have taken ages, impressive model.
I really enjoy these large armament focused models and Displays. This is Superb Work in every detail. Bravo!
Beautiful model, well done. One problem I noticed was the rear turret door is hinged the wrong way. It should swing on the left side hinges, the way is is now you would not be able to enter or exit to the ladder to it's right.

What amazing patience you have, all those rivets, I would have gone mad. Thank you very much.
Excellent model & weathering skills, & interesting & unconventional theme for a diorama!
Espectacular trabajo.
Gracias por compartir las imágenes del diorama...
Amazing to see that in this scale. Thanks for showing us this. Best regards from 🇸🇪
Amazing build and skill, imagine the whole ship at that scale 😸👍🏾
Amazing work.
That wooden decking especially
Vielen Dank ! Klasse !

3.65 meters
I am excited to see this. Takom has been making some neat large scale gun turrets from ships and this one from the Yamato looks amazing.
Fantastisch...Großartig...Beeindruckend...liebe Grüsse aus Deutschland (Germany)
nice! now build the rest of the ship.
You had my respect at the deck masking part of the video. More power to you.
Amazing craftsmanship. A true artist.
What an amazing build, well done
Wowww PIĘKNIE!!!! SUPER!!!!! 😍😍😍 Pozdrowienia z Polski 💪😎
I love it! Such a wonderful and impressive build! Fantastic!
Greetings from Germany!
insane model
That is a lot of plastic, I wonder if they would make it in 1/35th scale, now that would be huge. Lovely job, Sir, you brought this kit to life in your most excellent modelling style.
Great subject. Nice workmanship.
Sensational model, very great video, masterwork at its finest 👍👍👍👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
I think you could bring the model to the Yamato museum and then could ask the director to see if you can put it on display for everyone to see it.
All i can think when i see this is maybe ill buy 3 of them and build the whole yamato in 1/72
Great idea🤣
You could probably sail away in it 😅
Could you possibly do the Hasegawa 1/350 scale Junyo?
Wow excellent job congratulations!!!😊
Wow. Just wow. so large, and yet so intricately detailed. As an afterthought, I like how the diorama shows the crew going about their duties. (As I believe it was once said, the Imperial Navy worked eight days a week.) Fantastic project.
Does the backdoor open the right way? The man can't reach the ladder.
imagine you buy two more. and scratch build the bridge. you'd have an amazing ship
Excelente trabajo. Gracias por los títulos en español.
48:45 i think the door should be left-hinged to give easier access to the stairs idk
Bravo well done👍🇨🇵
TOOOOOP !!!!! 👍👍👍👍👍
Great Work!
Very impressive! And when will you build the right ship for it?!
Personally, I wouldn't dream of making a model of a battleship gun turret _without all the stuff that's in the ship interior:_ all the loading and transport mechanisms from the bottom deck right up to the breach loading.
WOW!!! Amazing build
Impressive work. I'm working on one of the Takom 1/72 Yamato turret kits right now and I'm planning to build it into a WiFi modem.
At this scale the whole ship would be 3.65 meters long.
A bit unwieldy for the casual modeler.
amazing size, thx for video👍
Great work! May you dont glue the doors in the plataform wrong side?
around the 10:30 mark You got the ladder wrong the top half you put pointing out. a person would never climb a ladder like that. The Model and your skills are awesome thank you.
Huh? Explain.
Wow! That lokks really awesome!
Incredible!
Good good....
Now assemble the rest of the ship
Im joking
Very good work
well done! from Toronto
ESTA MUY BUENO GRACIAS
I can only imagine how big this would be in 1/35 scale. Or even 1/16.
you always forget the real life scale of main guns, it's still amazing that the 18 inch Gun was very large and there's only one left as a display in Kure
