I dont understand why people think they are not as capable as motorbikes. Ive rode loads of different bikes and scooters and believe me scooters are capable of touring and doing miles. We are just a country of bikes riders with no imagination. Look at Europe, there are loads of scooters.
I personally am a big scooter/ maxi scooter fan, there very practical good fun and rewarding to ride FUN is where it’s at not always hp sometimes less is more , ask my missis 😂, nah seriously greet vlog and good to see an upload from you again , where did you get it from? May be worth mentioning the dealer for future vlogs…
I bought the gt last year I've got up to 90mph on it but it runs out of puff around 83mph will cruise all day at 70mph and it will beat most traffic from the lights I'm getting 74mpg. The screen doesn't do much past 60 very buffety and noisy. Can get my helmet and gloves under seat so that's good enough but a commuter might want a top box. Love the heated grips and it's very agile on the move

No speed demon but still.just cruise along and enjoy the ride....I'm in no great hurry so still does motorway speeds. Sounds like a bloody good option for me. Cheers
Buddy I have a 1200CC bike however I use my 170CC scooter everyday why to keep the miles off my truck and motorcycle and because it cost $10 to fill up. No brainer Oh and it’s fun

Regarding the "weird" on-boarding (coming from the motorcycle world), could this be due to you being in a more "motorcyclist" riding position, instead of the more "laid back" imperial riding position that would have a better center of gravity and control over a scooter? You seem too forward in your positioning on the bike but that could just be the camera. happy trails.
I've had mine for 2 1/2 years and like it enough, mine had a higher screen fitted when I bought it, 70mpg is the best I get but I use it for short trips.
test drove the c400gt and the kymco ak550. ak is the winner. i am taller and heavier and the kymco makes a big difference. i have a honda pcx160, fun, but over 40mph not so much. service on the AK is hard to come by in the states tho.
Great review. However have a question. I suffer from a sore back but love scooters. I am struggling to find reviews that talk about how smooth the suspension is. Some scooters I have had nearly jolt you off when you are on rough roads. May I ask is this scooter smooth to ride and irons out the rough surfaces or is it bouncey ?
Great video my friend. I've just ordered one on a trade in for my Burgie 650 - she's just too heavy for me to cope with now that I'm old and dicrepit!! Are these C400s reliable/reasonable for servicing costs etc... do you know?
Hi Thanks fore watching and commenting, I'm afraid I don't know ref servicing costs ,this was a loan bike whilst my 1250RS was in for a warranty repair, I,m sure they can't be too bad,your dealer should be able to give you an idea of servicing costs :)
Expensive and not very good quality, it's made in china. When it breaks down you will have it sit with the dealer for a long time since spare parts are unavailable.
I have a question. Are you reviewing the Honda or yourself.... You are comparing a proper motorbike to a motor scooter and whether the scoot is coming to your standard. Just stay to reviewing the BMW because I am not interested what transport is good enough for you. I tell you this. You cannot compare a motor bike with a scoot and they are for different kind of riders. A motorbike is way more comfortable and faster. Most of the riders think they are Rossi and that they have the ability to master 160 hp...and they look down on others who know they are not Rossi and know they cannot master 160 hp. A scoot is offering protection to weather has room to spare and in the end is the better choice if you do not ride big distances. Those riders are more relaxed and not compatitive. They just want to have fun or use the scoot as commuter.
It’s nice but I think I’d rather save a bit more and get the Street Triple R , not because it’s not a good scooter but I just love bikes 😂it’s so addictive 👍🏾😅
I’ve got one in September last year, drove 9200km (5700 miles) till now. I drive easily 300km (190 miles) a day with this scooter. It’s comfortable and gives a lot of fun
Bit obvious that this isn’t going to overtake like a 1250cc bike. Any small engine bike you’re going to have to plan overtakes. So that’s a bit of a silly comment.
I think for people who have never ridden a scooter nor do they know anything about it it is good that he included that comment. Even if its stating the "obvious" its still necessary. What's obvious to you isn't necessarily obvious for everyone.
Honda rebel 300 top speed is 108 mph Honda cbr300r top speed is 97 mph Honda cbr500r top speed 110 mph All of them cheaper than this scooter with a top speed of 84 mph with a 350cc engine. I'll never spend over 8 k for this when I can get higher performance for less money and still have honda's legendary reliability.
Good points I'll be the first to admit my 'maxi scooter' knowledge is lacking. I've had a couple of Honda motorcycles and they were very reliable thats for sure.

Yamaha nmax is a great option with 95 mph
Be careful not to miss the point. 100mph isn't necessary anywhere. This vehicle is about getting from A to B in style and comfort.
