Shaykh please also discuss islamic femininity, problem here in the west is that our sisters are raised with a feministic understanding, so when someone comes along with certain controversial topics that match Islam, it causes them to reject because it goes against their feminist programming
جزاك الله خيرا When there’s a new issue or ideology comes in to a society, we have to learn first to ask such kind of great scholars before we indulge in it. فَسۡـَٔلُوۤا۟ أَهۡلَ ٱلذِّكۡرِ إِن كُنتُمۡ لَا تَعۡلَمُونَ
Jazak Allahu Khair katheera Shaykh for explaining this issue so clearly. May Allah SWT protect and bless you and your family with all the goodness in this world and the next. Ameen. If possible, can you please do a longer talk about why this gender divide is happening and what can be done to fix the problem?
I can answer in one statement: Remove feminism from this world which brainwash women to go against men and people like andrew tate won’t get lot of attraction.
The way Muslim men act like fanboys of Andrew Tate bothers me. I’m not against him converting, but to use him as a way to confirm their own views disgusts me. Tate will hopefully grow up and knock his rhetoric down a few notches, but when we have the prophet saw to look up to, why are Muslim boys idolizing Tate? I will never get that.
The backlash against these unchecked ideologies is likely going to create a shockwave more dangerous than ever seen. And Tate is a minuscule tip of the iceberg. And his conversion is likely to calm him down and wisen him. It is the Tate that is coming up that won’t convert that is likely going to blow off the Richter scale.
What worries me is that many young men both muslim and non-muslim seem to idolize Tate. Now with his arrest - even most muslim men are insisting Tate is honourable etc. I am not a follower of Tate and obviously it is not my place to judge. But having been a non-muslim before I get the impression Tate has this attitude of women being objects, possesions, and its ok for a man to have multiple partners but the "woman" must be faithful no matter what. Seems like many young ignorant muslim men agree with this attitude which is scary. And also it is these type of men that Tate is pulling towards Islam. Having a bunch of men who convert to Islam but still holding on to jahiliyah attitudes towards women can only be harmful to the ummah in the long run.😔
Assalamualaikum. My take on this: 1. The syeikh mentioned the qualities of real men according to the Quran which are answering the azan to pray at the masjids, not afraid to speak and stand up for the truth, sacrificing themselves when push comes to shove, loving and caring towards women and etc - these are the qualities that have been explicitly expressed by Hamas, other Palestinian factions and the Taliban. They are the last bastion of truth in these end times. 2. He indirectly referred to Andrew Tate (A.T) talking bad to women. There are multiple clips where A.T explicitly said women need to cared and provided for. A.T also said some of the same quality of masculine traits in a man - you must be prepared to bleed and die when push comes to shove. He also said some of his wordings could've been worded better in retrospect. 3. The syeikh didn't mention anything on feminism in this clip. Some people say this is balanced. I digress becoz I initially kept quiet when a whole bunch of Muslim women spoke against polygyny which Allah approves, but when these same women said that our faraidh (inheritance) laws are unjust since the women only get half, I can no longer side with them. These so called Muslim feminists are literally opposing the laws which Allah said and trying to change the notion of the Quran. 4. Syeikh also correctly mentioned that men are protectors and responsible for women. Any responsibility comes with a degree of authority. For the women as mothers, they have a degree of authority over their children according to our syariah. Unfortunately these Muslim feminists want us to be responsible for them as husbands without having the authority i.e they refuse to obey and listen. Multiple podcasts and tea talks have confirmed this. For context, I'm a Muslim professional male from Malaysia who is desperately trying to hold my house together against these feminist views and finding the struggle to be exasperating.
@@sadofaraji5999 this is why we need another video about islamic femininity because all we ever hear is talks about how a man should behave and his roles but never how women should behave, I think this is due to fear of backlash by sisters entrenched by feminist ideas, and also how historically islam has been viewed as a "misogynistic" religion which has caused imams to shy away from speaking about such issues
@@DhulqarTen balanced according to what happened with this particular incident and topic. I am sure if the topic was femininity he would have talked about feminism. Plus the time was short.
@@DhulqarTen I give you that. However the Shaykh is human and he has a lot of topics to talk about. I am sure the topic about feminism will come insha'ALLAH
Context is key in this. Another aspect of rijal is standing up to oppression wherever it may come from and not fearing to be canceled. And a nasty word is allowed to the one who is oppressed. I don’t think that celebrity shoyookh are gaging the issue enough or otherwise are more “careful” of what they say, which is even worse than the first thing mentioned. I haven’t followed Tate and don’t plan to, but the things he raise are à just and measured stance against feminism, and from the videos of him I have seen, he didn’t put all women in the same bag as he claim to willingly be a provider and protector to his family. Now the problem is if you find yourself too offended as a Muslimah, either you are concerning yourself of what does not address you, or you are harboring feminist streaks which are more destructive to the family unit than a single Tate. The practicing muslim youth pays attention and are feeling the same neutering pressures brought about by these feminists equality nonsense. If you understand the breath and depth of feminism and all you find to say when Tate converts is disgust, then check your allegiance to these anti islamic ideologies proliferating that no sheikh is willing or able to take a “rijalic” stance against.
It's true that a lot of things which Tate said were correct but still he did speak things which weren't supposed to be said and were demeaning towards female and if I remember correctly that was after he had converted. Like an example where he said that the reason Allah allowed men to have multiple wives is because a woman can have only one baby and it takes about 9 months for her. That means if I want 20 children then and you can't give me 20 children in a short duration of time , then it is a "you"( female) probelm. Now tell me isn't this him putting down women and Allah's creation? The process of a being a mother and carrying a child is very blessed in Islam yet he directly calls it a "problem". And also there are other examples too. So that's the reason why a lot of our women are against him since he isn't changing his views even after being a muslim and we muslim brothers don't address these issues. I personally am not a fan nor am I a hater of him. But as I said before being a muslim what he did doesn't matter to but now he needs to say those correct things according to Islam which he used to say while being a non muslim along with correcting the wrongs. And yeah I understand it's not possible to change all of his views so fast, but a simple solution to that is for him is to first confirm his controversial point from a muslim scholar before speaking it instead of continuing what he used to do before and just spewing stuff without knowing whether it's Islamic or not.
I have a problem with the fact that part of his income is derived from webcam girls. No matter what - a man whose income comes from pornography at some level he views women literally as a sub species to be exploited. My worry is that he will carry this attitude with him even after conversion to Islam and he will continue to propogate this attitude and indirectly or directly influence muslim men to have this attitude towards women. He already has a slew of non-muslim youtubers converting to Islam. In one interview i watched he kept telling a non-muslim man to convert because he could marry a virgin bride and he kept emphasing how muslim women were expected to be virgins until marriage etc. No mention of how muslim men must also practice celibacy until marriage - i got the impression he implied men dont need to be refrain from pre marital sex. So its scary how he is pulling people towards islam but in the wrong way. And this pushes non-muslim women away from Islam because Tate seems to selling the concept that women are mere sex objects and baby producers in Islam.😔
My theory is that we have boys/young men in our communities who have been essentially raised by one parent (mother) while father was physically there but not the male figure that they needed to be for their sons. A present-absent father. So boys growing up have no clue as what it means to be a man, b/c they were never taught and it was never modeled by the most important male figure in their lives, their father. So mother raises the boy until adulthood, coddling him and in a way, poisoning him. He believes that the fake machismo present in men like Tate are what a man is or should be, b/c what else is he supposed to think? He's lost and he has to come up with his own conception as an adult.
You hit the nail on the head. I am a teacher and I have worked with many boys, this is it. Also, my little brother fits this description perfectly as well.
When can we get a lecture about modern feminism? This is one of the biggest issues that our young Muslim women are facing, and it is starting to negatively affect our families and marriages.
There are 2 genders in Islam and they are not the same! What is masculinity in Islam? (The moderate view) 1. Courage and sacrafice 2. Priorities in the correct order, salaat ibaada masdjid 3. Not afraid of dunya, bur fears the day of resurrection 4. Gives safety, takes on the burden
You can see sins and distractions intensely on social media, as well as the fierce attack on other parties. But you can hardly see it in your real life, when a person speaks and acts in their name and identity they stop a lot of follies they dare from behind the screen. People’s fear of people is mercy.
Men are attracted to Andrew Tate even knowing that some of the things he say is extreme is because of the mainstream Feminist extremism out there in the world especially in the west. People are tired of listening to feminist garbage ideology and talks about matriarchy vs Patriarchy. The culture of Hollywood and for desis, bollywood has taught men to worship women. Men was simping around living in these wood’s fantasy but seeing heartbreaks in front of brainwashed feminist. Brother Andrew Tate may not represent the Islamic Masculinity yet but at least gives a fresh air to someone who is simping around women. Who no one cares about and is genuinely lonely to start to look for warrior class. Its out job to now navigate those individuals to the real Heroes and Warrior class of men like Khalif bin Waleed and Umar
By your definition, our Prophet SAW would be considered a simp. I would highly recommend you re-evaluate your opinion because it is not islamic. The Prophet SAW had many hadiths about treatment of women and you can go as far as to say he was the antithesis of someone like Tate. Prophet SAW was kind and gentle and conveyed many hadiths about the superiority of such character in the eyes of Allah swt. Someone who is brash and harsh and hurts people physically or with their words is detestable in Allah swt's eyes. You and other brothers really have a lot to learn.
This is because there is actually no clear, fleshed-out conception of feminity (that I know of) in the Sunnah and Qur'an that goes really in-depth in how a woman should be. It is kind of silly to expect women to fit perfectly into a specific prototype and for that reason I believe our religion is wise.
@@AA-mg3xr there are many authentic hadith specifying to wifes respect to her husband. I would argue Islam is the cure for todays toxic feminists who expects all her rights but his rights are near impossible to extract from her

With in us as a Muslim in west, most likely matter is not about fem or masc the real issue is about control. It would have been better off both play a role accordingly therefore it's a two way traffic. You can't blame any one, one sided any how.
What happend, not related to the man himself, but the whole issue of people wanting to convert to Islam because of a influencer, is a preview of how people will divide and follow the Dajjal. This is just to show how easy it is to break up a community. Please dear muslims, hold on your Emaan and do not look at others but yourself. May Allah guide our hearts
In this case then, we are all not really men. All scared to speak the truth for sake of our jobs or social status. Thats why new translation has ti be invented for the verse 4:34. Everything become problematic. Let alone to speak about slavery or jizya. Real men speak truth no mattet what.
Women will not give you the light of day if they don’t feel safe around you because they are physically weaker. Treat women well and they will put their guards down
Can you imagine Prophet Muhammad ( peace be upon him) educating the ummah in such a manner and with such words that yiu said? 🤯 This is why our Prophet is best role model. Not Andrew Tate. I feel embarrased when I see our muslim male youth aping Tate. We already the best role model but due to ignorance the muslims are looking for others may even lead them astray in the long run.
@@lilyrosesoul0077 What if I said: ladies act as such only towards a gentleman, not a man. All gentlemen are men, but not all men are gentlemen. This statement sounds fair and and I agree with it. Ok so real men are those who sacrifice themselves for women, those who protect women, those who provide for women... but for which women? The ones who grant in exchange of all this, ALL the rights that belong to men.
You didn't like YQ's quranic verses and seerah he shared? The ones he shared were very thought provoking and motivating about what it meant to be masculine. For a muslim I thought they'd hit home? Or did you simply not like his take on the individual he was talking about?

That was the worst ending to any video i’ve ever seen. Essentially what you’re saying is what defines “masculinity” is also somthing women can embody so why go through all this weird effort to separate and corner their perceived notion of “gender” when they can’t even make a point without completely undermining their own argument. Love is love is love.
Sheikh, the elephant in the room is feminism!. We have imam telling men to quack 🦆 like ducks if their wives ordered them!. That goes contradictory to the teaching of Islam placing the man as the authority of the house. You talk about men sacrificing but there’s absolutely no reason to sacrifice for women who disrespect, discard and are hostile towards men. Men can’t be responsible for women who don’t respect and appreciate men .
If there is possibility of sehr that was not evident to self or maybe because we took this as a self blame , what permissible ways should one follow ? This happened as a family member got married and the spouse is feeling symptoms and noticing symptoms with everyone like connecting the dots
I think this lecture was delivered after watching clips on Tate that's being propagated by feminists. He advocated for sleeping around yes (pre islam), but islam caters for wealthy men who want multiple partners via polygamy. Most of his other statements however I don't see how they are controversial or against islamic principles of gender roles. And the reason muslim men are putting him on a pedestal is because he is one of the most famous men in the world and so has a huge reach and opportunity to convert many more people, not because they hate the other gender. The only people fighting amongst each other are muslims and feminists who are not happy someone has come to islam. It isn't men vs women, rather muslims vs feminists.
You can talk about polygyny all you want, but according to YQ's explanation, can you handle the responsibility, which is beyond financial? Do you have the emotional intelligence to handle being married to up to 4 women? Do you have to ability to maintain fairness both financially and in treatment? That takes an emotional maturity a lot of men don't have, quite frankly. Is it about satisfying your ego or satisfying Allah SWT? There is a reason women are skeptical of men that talk about polygyny all the time. Because everyone involved is going to know very quickly and it may end being a blessing or a nightmare for all involved. All I see are men trying to cut corners and say that equality in treatment is not really required, etc. etc. etc.
Taqwa is totally missing from these convos, but some men still scream for this right, that if done wrongly, will ruin people's lives and also put you in a not-so-good place with Allah. Fear Allah!
@@deedeee6271 If your talking about me then absolutely not, I can only handle one wife. That’s the same for the majority of men (99%). But say someone did want more and was able to maintain fairness and justice like you said then islam allows it.

Andrew Tate has only said what the shaikh said here. I haven't heard him put women down. People tend to hear what they want to based on what others tell them. Listen for yourselves and then decide.
He did put down women. Men owning women, cheating is okay are some of the examples. It's not just that what he says puts down women, It's also how he addresses those issues. I felt that's enough evidence for me. It's okay to disagree with me though.
It’s funny how sheikh yasir has no problem giving the likes of Linder Sarsour and Ilhan Omar a free and unconditional platform. But for Andrew Tate (who’s a new Muslim and inshallal all his sins are forgiven), there’s a condition ie he has to change his vocabulary. 😅!.

This is a slight problematic video. Many people were sad, angry or unwelcoming to Andrew Tate’s conversion. What Andrew might have said in past means nothing. Once he became Muslim he had 0 sin. And all these people are going mad on a sinless person. And our sheikh here is not only not advising these people, but deep down seem not very comfortable. Even though he used very vague language.
You are wrong for this because everything he said and did (EVIL) is still out there and influencing people to haraam. He has a huge social responsibility to renounce or remove all of that garbage or he will continue to influence people retro-actively.

But for Andrew Tate there is (according to feminist). 5) And how you think he will delete posts from already banned accounts?
Allow me to educate you about him. Not all of his contents are bad but the majority is. Here's what he does. He says some crazy things, drops sprinkles of truths in there and adds sexist remarks. The crazy things catch people's attention and the sprinkles of truth make them think that everything he says is correct. You're a prime example. Yes, he speaks against feminism and lgbt. But he does offer a rather hedonistic ideal fueled by desires of the worldly life. Nobody is putting extra conditions on him. His influence was mostly bad. Yes, he does portray some of the traditional masculinity our generation is lacking. But to accept most of his ideals as "correct"? That only shows how we have failed to educate our young ones about masculinity. His idea of masculinity, marriage, women is wrong. I'm not talking about the times he speaks against woke culture or the western views, I'm saying that his views in general are bad. Saying that men own women, cheating is okay, a father need not be around his children are just some of it. Since nobody is being able to say what he says and the fact that he praises Islam is making Muslims ignore most of what negative he said. Many of his views are wrong while some are correct. That doesn’t mean we put him on a pedestal and pretend he was completely in line with Islam even before his conversion. He's obviously welcome and nobody is saying he has more conditions to follow. Many are simply concerned about thr fact that many of his views aren’t exactly islamic. You’d expect the red pillers who are high on the reddest of red pills to have some of the negative views he has. Hence, the concern.
@@RIPer-rg2cz You are saying the same things which left says when they are misrepresenting him. You can watch Muhammad Hijab and Andrew Tate video on TH-cam. And even if he said what you say he said, after accepting Islam all previous sins are forgiven. Why are so many people questioning his past when Allah won’t probably question his past? Nor did I deny that all his previous sins are forgiven. His views are still out there and those videos are promoting haram things. Nobody is putting extra conditions on him. This is going over your head it seems. His views are far from good but just because he speaks against the left and what "culture" this leftism created, many Muslims see him in a good light. And just because he speaks good of Islam, the Muslims lose their minds over him. Yes, some of his views are good and in line with Islam but the majority of his views are far from it. But many Muslims such as yourself take the sprinkle of truth he says and then applies it to the majority of his content calling it "good". Let me clear things up for you one last time. Nobody is denying his conversion of the fact that his sins are forgiven. People are simply concerned about his views because there are still many videos where his views are still being promoted. What makes you think the majority of his content is good? Have you taken your time actually doing your research or have you just decided to be like the ones that are supporting him regardless and putting his negative impact on the side just because he's being criticized by the extremist lefts? Take your time, do your research and you will find that his content that people are concerned about are basically him saying crazy things, promoting hedonism, telling people that they need to cheat and sleep around, putting down women, saying crazy things in an unironic way all the while sprinkling some truths here and there. Those sprinkles of truths are what he says against the left and says things that are in line with Islam. Just because he says a positive impact does not change that he has a bigger negative impact on the Muslim youth because they have nobody that's speaking against the left in such a strong manner. They will draw many of their ideals from him and will draw the negative things as well. The fact that his past videos are still out there and influencing people is what the concern is about but some people completely deny the fact that he used to have a negative impact and still his videos are having a negative impact on the Muslim youths. Whenever confronted, these people get defensive saying that we're either denying his conversion or we are simply ignoring that his past sins are forgiven. We are not doing that. We're simply concerned about his past videos still going around influencing others. I hope that he changes his views that are misogynistic and are against Islam. Regardless of what you say, his past videos and opinions were heaven for misogynists. That is all the concern we have. If you think that we're being influenced by the left then my friend, you are as blind as people can get. Have a good day.

Shaykh please also discuss islamic femininity, problem here in the west is that our sisters are raised with a feministic understanding, so when someone comes along with certain controversial topics that match Islam, it causes them to reject because it goes against their feminist programming

Absolutely it’s always men this and that and the main thing destroying the household
Sorry but Shaykh Doctor Yasir Qadhi will never speak openly against his feminist masters
The only reason feminism got so big amongst Muslims is because men mistreat their wives and took the rights given to them by Islam away from them

💯💯💯
Frankly, I feel quite embarrassed by them.
Alhamdulilah for Islam
Jzk khair
JazakAllah Khair shaykh
Assalamualaikum. My take on this:
The question was about rujulu (men)
@@sadofaraji5999 the answer was not balanced, which prompted my response.
@@cloudstrife112 because the question was about masculinity.

Also some muslim men are abusive husbands and fathers - so it makes worse that their bad behaviour represents " Islam".
(The moderate view)
1. Courage and sacrafice
2. Priorities in the correct order, salaat ibaada masdjid
3. Not afraid of dunya, bur fears the day of resurrection
4. Gives safety, takes on the burden
You can see sins and distractions intensely on social media, as well as the fierce attack on other parties.

This topic is toooo deep. The flop side is even more evil. Parent alienation, slander/lies and gossip. Hurt people hurt people
Never do I hear khutbas or talks of femininity in Islam. The Imams need not be afraid of that topic
This is because there is actually no clear, fleshed-out conception of feminity (that I know of) in the Sunnah and Qur'an that goes really in-depth in how a woman should be. It is kind of silly to expect women to fit perfectly into a specific prototype and for that reason I believe our religion is wise.

Fear Allah!

The problem with Yasir is that he is of weak resolve. I've noticed this. He always likes to clarify himself and make lengthy statements before he actually tackles the topic.
That's Shaikh Yasir to you
Think of it this way.
He has a big crowd of people who listen to him. And you can't control who watches you and who doesn't. When you are speaking about Islam publicly you have to be very wise. Especially if you are a known scholar like Sheikh Yasir (May Allah Preserve him). A lot of times your audience can be very ignorant about Islam and so one not so wise, or one emotionally driven word could have a big impact upon somebody's eman.
@@Kamal_AL-Hinai if you don't like him don't listen to him. No point in criticizing ya akhi.

I'm saying he needs to say Shaikh. Not just call him by name. I absolutely love him in Allah.
He's very careful (intentionally) with his statements cause he knows that people will clip him and attack him.
Assalamu Alaikum, Yasir Qadi is drawing forbidden in Islam???
