Unleash Your Creativity: Make Stunningly Realistic Bubble Bath Flowers!

- DIY Bubble bath flowers are used as hand soap, body wash, or bubble bath. They're gorgeous, realistic, & they smell amazing! This project takes time but it's actually an easy process that's really fun - get really creative with every aspect!
You need wafer paper- edible paper that dissolves. It comes in O, AD, or DD grades (thickness) O = 0.22 mm, AD = 0.27-0.35 mm, DD = 0.6 mm. O or AD grade are great for delicate flowers with lots of petals like roses or ranunculus's. DD grade is good for robust peonies or magnolias. After painting, O and AD grade flowers remain soft, flowy, and move. However, DD grade flowers become thick, stiff, quite hard, and have no movement.
Each flower requires 5-10 petal sets (petals connected in center). Make sets very similar but vary them slightly in size. You can cut petals out by hand but a cutting machine, like silhouette cameo, is highly recommended. Use a round shape (foam balls) to mold petals. Moisturize foam balls to prevent petals from sticking.
For colorful edges, mix alcohol with mica. Gently apply mixture to edges. Tips: Apply color sparingly. Use colors close to petal color. Painting petals: 50 milliliters liquid bubble bath, 15 milliliters surfactant (cocamidopropyl betaine), 1/8 cup sodium lauryl sulfoacetate (SLSa), 15 milliliters fragrance oil, liquid colorant. You only need a liquid surfactant (like bubble bath) - everything else is optional! **This is the most SLSa you can add. If you add more, the liquid becomes too thick to paint with.** Microwave mixture to dissolve SLSa. Then add fragrance oil & colorant.
Paint both sides of petals. Place ball in center and gently mold each petal around it. Push petals down until the set is perfectly smooth and round. Dry petals completely. ***NOTES: Mold petals with same size balls *Only .6 mm, grade DD wafer paper can be painted on both sides at once. Other papers need to be painted ones side at a time then dry.
ASSEMBLY: Gently unmold petals. Bend the top of a 14-16 gauge wire (a more realistic wire is linked below). Petal sets should all be about the same size. Start with the smallest. Pierce the center and push it up. Add petals until the flower is full (about 5-10 petal sets).
QUICK TIPS: Use broken & single petals; hold them in place and slide a petal set around them. Alternate petal sets so they're not all facing the same way. Use a bowl shape, like a large petal, (use DD grade paper) for reinforcement. Anchor flower head with a skinny wire wrapped tightly at the base. Last, add stamens. Pipe stamens in or add paper for a more realistic look.

Another hit! Are the leaves paper too? I was hoping you’d show how you assembled those. Thank you! ❤
The leaves in picture are from fake flowers. However, I made paper/bubble bath leaves - I cannot believe I didn't include them in video... Oh yea, I remember now, bc they were embarrassing! lol But you make them the exact same way. just dry them flat.
Absolutely Amazing! I've just ordered some rice paper to give this a go. Thank you for being so creative! 🎉💛
Hope you enjoy it! Rice paper may work but I used wafer paper!!!
@@CreativeBathLab that's what I meant sorry. Wafer paper. Looking forward to getting creative 😃

DORA...i know ur mom has passed :( was wondering if she is the one who taught you all these amazing things? cuz girl you blow my mind. i REALLY hope you have some platform? etsy, amazon!! all of them to showcase these for sale for valentines day. cuz they would be selling like crazy! they are beyond gorg, and so unique, and also more than reg flowers they have a purpose! get them out there!!!!, you are gonna hit the fortune 500 with these thangs! OMG...(ok have i gushed enuff?) lol but seriously lady you are so incredibly talented! if you are not banking, thats a crime, cuz you got the goods!
this one makes me forgive the 3 long weeks we had to wait for a new vid! lol
You should!
I suppose I got their "creative genes". My dad enjoyed painting. My mom loved to bake, make fancy desserts, and she also made porcelain dolls. I do it all, plus some. But my mom never had a big influence in my life. My dad raised us as a single father.
You are so creative. Thank you for sharing your ideas ❤❤❤
You are welcome😊
Simply beautiful! 😮 your so creative!!❤
Thank you! Cheers!
They are so beautiful!
thanks Helen!
That is amazing
Wow your just amazing in everything you do love your videos Dora
Thank you so much!
Absolutely beautiful! I don7know if I have the patience 😂
You can do it! It is time consuming yes, but it's not hard!
So BEAUTIFUL!! ❤ If I may ask, where did you find the flower image? Was it off of cricut design space?
No, I made it myself.
If you don’t want to stem them can you just maybe glue them at the center ? If so what would you use ? Love these so much . ❤
maybe melt and pour soap as a glue?
Yep, M&P soap would be my guess, too.
Hi dora, question on one of ur vids u used coco betaine what could i use for a replacement? Luv ur vids learning lots thx 👌🏿
Any liquid surfactant should be fine as a replacement
You are amazing!!!! How do you come up with this stuff!
I love creating beautiful things.
When adding the pedal to make the flower what makes them stay together? And do you just pierce the wire through the flower paper when it’s assembled?
She explains everything pretty clearly. For example, at around 6:00 she shows how to wrap wire below the flower to hold it in place.
Quick question..... what happens to the polystyrene ball once in the water?
She removed the ball after the petals were all together...see around 4:02
hope you have fun!
