    @KampKenan you should look into getting in touch with the people at C.A.R.E.S and see if you can possibly populate your ponds with endangered central and South American fish species instead of the common convicts that you have. That way you can help grow assurance colonies.

      Too bad it wasn't male biting female, or you could have named male Mike (short for biting Mike Tyson).

    One thing that I like about how you do things is how you actually like to show off whichever animal gets a new home and how they're venturing throughout their new place. Most/a lot of people will just show them off for like a minute and that's it, that's no bueno😂 Shoooooot, I wanna watch them explore their new home too😂 To me I think that is one of the best things to do besides actually getting a new pet.

    I know you're naming the male "Nugget" because the female bit a chunk out of him. How about naming her "Chompers"? Again, because she bit a chunk out of him.... Just a thought ❤😊 Great video, as always Kenan, Matt, and Tom!! The new Giant Mexican Musk Turtles 🐢 🐢 are beautiful, and I look forward to watching them grow and learning all about them.

    Hi Kenan Love those little curly tails. I would name the new female Giant Mexico Musk turtle Jaws. Because she took such a big bite out the male's shell. They have a really pretty shell. They will love being in Camen Creek. Looks like they could give you big bite. The little barbs, and hinge was very interesting information. The female went into the water very fast. The male needed a small push to go into the water. Matt showed such a nice view of them under water. Excellent video. I really enjoy watching your channel for a long time.❤ All of your Reptiles. I have a three year old Razorback Musk turtle, it is the funniest little think to watch in the tank. Half sand, then gravel with sunken wood all over. As close to natural as I can do. Just walks around the sand and wood looking for snails all day.

    There is a good Zoo in Chiapas that has an exhibit with several of these impressive critters. There is a glass side, so you can look in and see them doing their thing undisturbed. Theirs were really good at growing algae on their upper shells. I know you will have sucess with them.

    • @davidvento5481
      @davidvento5481 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      An above ground pond with a glass “viewing panel” would be awesome to observe turtle species from every angle. *(hint hint)* 😏

    • @belizeguy
      @belizeguy ปีที่แล้ว

      @@davidvento5481 So, the thing that sets this one apart is that it really looks like someone has sliced that small section of the pond in two with a huge piece of glass. You have to walk down into a trough, and when you do, you are below the bottom of the pond, and look up into the resident's eyes, etc. Really fun way to see things, and YES, Hint Hint, Kenan. Oh, also, the exhibit closes when it rains, as the low area often fills with rain water fast.

      He re-homed all his Leopard-hybrids awhile ago. Certain arid dwelling species (Leopards, Star Tortoises, etc) typically prefer a much drier climate. They are subject to respiratory infections living in a sub-tropical climate like Florida and can be difficult to maintain.

    Just saying but I think that the next kind of turtle you should get is the Central American river turtle aka Hickatee and they are relatives of the mud and musk turtles and the Hickatee is a large bodied turtle with records of 60 cm(24 in) straight carapace length and weights of 22 kg(49 pounds) although most individuals are smaller and they are herbivorous and almost completely aquatic but sadly they are critically endangered and they are critically endangered because for millennia it has been hunted for food and it was also used for warfare with the Mayans using the carapace as a shield.
