I can't get over how beautiful wolfwatch is. It's like the perfect habitat, a garden of eden for wolves. What fulfilling and joyful lives they must live there.
Wolves are such dramatically impressive animals. The restrained power they have when meeting someone like Anneka. Your videos like this are such a pleasure to watch.
Don't forget Humans are large creatures and most wild animals know we are very dangerous also.

as a canadian in British Columbia who has seen our local grey/timber wolves in the wild more than once while outdoor adventuring I just wanna say I am really happy to see places like yours exist. these animals are incredible and must be allowed to not only exist but thrive.
I live in Southern Ontario. The wolves are gone and have been replaced with Coyotes. I have seen wolves in Northern Ontario... but at a distance. They are majestic animals and need to be protected.
I’m very sad that 20 were killed in Yellowstone in 2021. It’s so sad. They and Buffalo were everywhere over 150 years ago, and now, they barely roam even a quarter of the land that they used to.😔 My parents had the privilege of seeing a whole pack in Yellowstone 20-30 years ago during a limited winter opening where snowmobiling was allowed. I’ve been there 3 times with no such luck.😭

Thanks to Toni for saving as many wolves as he can, and giving them the best life possible. Bosch is such a playful young wolf, can't wait to watch him grow. Ania got the chance she deserved, I hope their bond will grow stronger and stronger.
The wolf is an amazing creature. Imagine if the wolf would have got extinct in the far past. There would be no dogs either. Everybody today would have pet rabbits and cats instead, running all fking around, multiplying, getting stuck or road killed all over the place, devestating crops, eating car wires ruining insurence and chewing power cables causing never ending power failures and so spreading a constant smell of toasted rabets inside and outside everywhere theres grass or flowers.. . . I think im glad the wolf survived.. We agree pedegree?
Wolves in the USA were reintroduced into Yellowstone National Park and proved a vital part of the ecosystem. Elk were overpopulated and overgrazed river and creek beds causing them to erode. With fewer trees, fewer songbirds could be found. With the erosion, beavers moved on. Wolves helped restore the balance. This is well-documented and a interesting to read up on. Wolves are awesome!
So beautiful. I hope they all live long and prosper. Thanks to gentle caring human beings instead of psycho hunters that look for any reason to kill things. This jsut shows me we still have a little hope that some human beings still are capable of great things.
What a beautiful video! I really enjoyed watching. I've got 2 wolf hybrids and the love, respect, and family we've created is beyond my wildest dreams.
Adore Wolves, beautiful, majestic and powerful......but more civilised than us - we maybe very clever, but wisdom eludes too many and normally those in seats of power. Fortunately there are a good few who care about our fellow animals and our planet.
Thank you for all you do for the Wolves. I live in the U.S. where Wolves are hunted, and it absolutely enrages me and breaks my heart at the same time, so seeing places like this are a spiritual lift for me knowing that there is a safe place for the Wolves to live. Merry Yule to all who are involved in your sanctuary.
What talking about? Wolfs are a protected species on the endangered species list and can't be hunted without permission of the federal government. You don't know what the hell you're talkin
@@eod9910 First off, I don't appreciate you speaking to me as if I'm an idiot, because I am very far from it. Second, if you knew anything at all you would know that the former U.S. president Obama removed the federal protection act during his first year in office and they have not been reinstated by any president since !! There are several states that still have LEGAL hunting of Wolves !! Recently, one state set a hunting limit on the number of Wolves that were allowed to be killed in their upcoming hunting season, and the number of Wolves killed was almost double the allowed number in the first few weeks !!!! If anyone here is ignorant of the Endangered Species Protection Act for Wolves, it's YOU !!! Don't jump down someone's throat about something you are so egregiously ignorant of !!!
@@eod9910 The government is the one sponsoring the hunting. It does go on and it is horrible. The ranchers out West (wrongly) believe that wolves will kill their livestock and push for them to be hunted.
Used to have one, named Chinook. We rescued him at 3 months old and were told he was a "Husky mix" ... mixed with Artic wolf! Stood 34" at the shoulders and could stand up and look me in the eye at 6 foot tall.
These are magnificent creatures. They form a vital component in the predator chain. Only by their reintroduction into the forests and hillsides can the natural balance of nature begin to be restored. Humans very nearly wiped them out, so now it's up to enlightened conservationists to restore their presence.
i am absolutely amazed about how playful and gentle they are. when Anneka lies in the grass, Bosch above her, i think she also shows Bosch that she trusts him.
He’s a puppy still and they’re always overly playful with people they like. But it’s still hard to imagine that behavior in a wolf, especially one that size right? She very lucky to have been able to go there.

No, they're wolves. They are beautiful. They are magnificent. They are intelligent. But they are wolves. The last mistake you will ever make will be to underestimate these animals.
@@gregfawcett4043 Thank you for responding so eloquently! Wolves are to be respected, exactly because they are NOT dogs. Wolves are completely different from dogs, aside from their DNA strain. I love dogs, precisely because they love humans and are so protective. Dogs have gone through hundreds of thousands of years to evolve into our pets. Dogs are the most devoted pets, and will often fight to the death to save their human (who is the leader of their pack). As Annika said, a wolf that trusts humans is rare, and could also be a concern if ignorant humans are around and could shoot them. Wolves will only eat meat, unless there is nothing else and it is starving. Which means that we are on the menu, too, in those circumstances - they are apex predators. When they have pups, they actually regurgitate food they've eaten so the pups can have "baby food". They also will actually eat the weakest of the pack, pup or not. They pee and poop in order to mark their territory, and no one can make them wait to "go outside for a walk". They often fight viciously to be the leader of the pack. And obviously from story tales, wolves have a huge terrifying "smile" and have a far stronger bite force than a dog's. Yet with all of that, as you wrote, they are gorgeous and magnificent creatures and they should remain wild animals and be allowed to live they way that nature intended.

Wow, you can really tell how big he is when he sits next to her. What a gorgeous creature 🐺
For an 11 months old wolf, it's huge.
Yes,both of them!
That might be big for a European wolf but it pretty average for a NA timber wolf were they get up to 180lbs
As tall as a adult human
