Nice explanation brother. I do hand load shorter roller guns but for the 120+ ones I go max load but then use a load assist - as you say it is needed. I clip it then to the handle clip or pull my arm thru it. Love that you base results of rubber length/PT by the muzzle load. Very practical approach taking into consideration all those variables in rubbers and shafts. Aloha from Panama >

I have a rob Allen roller with a 6.6mm spear and 14mm rubbers. What would your suggestion be for pretension weight at the muzzle?
