I have a rob Allen roller with a 6.6mm spear and 14mm rubbers. What would your suggestion be for pretension weight at the muzzle?
Does it float when you put foam on your barrel?

Nice explanation brother. I do hand load shorter roller guns but for the 120+ ones I go max load but then use a load assist - as you say it is needed. I clip it then to the handle clip or pull my arm thru it. Love that you base results of rubber length/PT by the muzzle load. Very practical approach taking into consideration all those variables in rubbers and shafts. Aloha from Panama ><)))^>

@@unkolearnuhow don’t get me wrong, it’s great content i absolutely did enjoy it. i just think vertical format really suits shorts and has that quick titok feel. i am just hard headed old school maybe. i can never imagine myself seeing fish vertically underwater 😂

Do you custom make the carbon fiber squid shaped bodies, or do you collaborate with a company that makes them and then custom install all the parts to that body? Is there a way I could just order the squid shaped chassis?
There are numerous barrel manufacturers in China you can purchase from.

Is the dyneema for a break away system i only have used a reel on my gun and my setup is a bit different so i dont know if its being treated as monofilament or not nvm noticed its a slip tip
A lot of guys choose to use monofilament for a breakaway system. I’m not a fan of the way mono trains, so I prefer using dyneema for all shaft rigging applications.

Have you tried the new aimrite international roller muzzle that just came out? (I’m pretty sure the aimrite international in Australia and aimrite USA is run by 2 different people?).
Yes, both companies are owned by different people. I’m still waiting to try out the Aimrite International SR muzzle. It’s supposed to fit a 26mm inner diameter barrel.

Have any tips for getting the muzzle track height to line up with the barrel track. I don’t have a router but would sanding the muzzle track down work?
Yes, you can simply wrap a pencil with 60 grit sandpaper and work to get it even. 🤙🏽
@@unkolearnuhow followed your advice and was successful in sanding it down. For anyone else looking to do this, I would recommend using a longer steel rod (like a pole spear injector rod) instead of a pencil. Also be prepared to put some elbow grease into it because it took me several hours to sand it down to the appropriate height.
@@axelherrera8447 It shouldn’t take more than 10-15 minutes with an aggressive grit.

You reckon sanding the adaptor down is better than boring the barrel out?
I will typically bore out the barrel on the handle end when its needed to meet up with the track offset. For the muzzle end I prefer to sand down the adapter, so it stays centered inside the tube.

You ever mess with mvd 2x roller??? If so, what’s your opinion vs the ermes? Have a similar/same build with MVD and thinking it’s a bit too crazy
A 100-110 double roller? Unless you put there like 8-8.5mm shaft you are crazy lol :)
I prefer the Manny Sub muzzle design above all others currently available.
What are your thoughts on not using full extension rubbers like Coatesman?
All depends on the rubber diameter regarding the pretension value.
