Lots of people want him to play another year. But i think he should still retire after this year because there's no guarantee he'll be good next year. Stick with the original plan and go out on top, never having to regret sticking around one year too long

dude is an absolute legend. I was a 14 year old kid playing EA Sports' MVP 2004 on GameCube, with this guy Albert Pujols on the cover. The career this man has had is just out of this world man. you have to think on some level, with modern technology like all our cameras and TH-cam and everything, this is the best we have to watch one of the greatest legends of all time. We can't watch Babe Ruth like this, but we can watch Albert Pujols and get very very close.

Sure they want their team to win but even they are just as excited for their opponents fans to catch a piece of history. People in South Dakota could hear the cardinals game on the radio. Those old fans have passed on their support through generations. And Many Cards fans are known to travel, even for Spring training. I think that many people west of the Mississippi were Cards fans, at one point, because that was their closest team, and they were accessible by radio. Maybe still are.

I recall Red Berenson scoring six in a game for the Blues way back - I remember Bob Gibson mowing down the Tigers in a complete game of about 2 hours, on October radio among the rotting leaf smell of E Dalhousie NS hunting camp - but this must be the greatest sports highlight day in St Louis history

While I never got to see a home run in person....He did autograph a bat for me....He is such a nice guy....I would love to see him come back next year....Pull a Tom Brady and say he still loves playing and wants to play one more year. He could play next year, they showed there is a winning formula where he can play at a high level. His swing is just epic....

Maybe it's a difference between the American League and National League, pitchers seem very willing to pitch to Albert, American League pitchers won't give Judge anything close to any pitches across the plate

I'm afraid the nostalgia for these days will last for years once this is over, to witness something like this. The great Albert Pujols at 42 leading the NL in homeruns after the all star break to get to 700 now 703 with time to get to 705 before he retires? Can't say enough so I'm leave it at that

Don’t retire!!! 14 doubles from being in the 700/700 club( Doubles & Homers). He would be the first. 12 homers from passing Ruth. If I were Cardinals, & every other team that needed to sell tickets I would be doing everything I could to bring him back for 1 more year. Imagine how many more tickets the teams that would face the Cardinals would sell to see Puljos pass Babe Ruth for 3rd all time in homers. The guy deserves a retirement year. I am not a Cardinals fan, and I know he is not a numbers guy. MLB you got to bring this guy back for one last year!
