How Philippine Chocolate is Made - Biggest Cacao Farm In the Central Visayas

- In this episode we visit the biggest cacao farm in the Central Visayas located in Bohol! Even though this farm isn't that popularly well-known yet, it roughly estimates over 500 acres of land full of 30,000 cacao trees. In the Philippines, cacao is often processed into tablea which is 100% pure chocolate goodness. The cacao industry in the Philippines has great potential for farmers and the global market; however like anything else, there will be challenges we just have to be willing and prepared for the solutions. Special shout out to our friends from Hacienda Buenavista for letting us learn about mother nature's chocolate! 🍫🇵🇭

You're welcome and it's an honor to walk and farm along the hardest working and humblest people. They are a part of the backbone of the Philippines!
great video!! im subscribbing!! i never knew they grew cacao in Philippines, my wife STEFFY is from LAPULAPU and is there visiting right now, i pick her up at the airport this friday night!
I can't help but smile seeing our Filipino native agricultural produce are now represented. Although it will take a while before massive shifts in changes will happen, I still have hope for our agriculture. I wish to see younger Filipinos delving in college courses more focused in engineering and scientific innovations for agricultural produce that are resilient to climate changes. I'll probably be 70 years old before that happens, and I'm currently 24 years old, but it gives me a glimmer of hope that our Filipino identity in our local products will still prevail forevermore. May our young Filipinos never lose hope in agriculture and delve in entrepreneurial mindset such as agribusiness than solely farming for sustainability let alone.
Amen! I agree it will take some time but let's make it go faster than 40 years. I think if we can get the right programs and people behind the agricultural sector some major things can happen. It's ready and people want change👍
Thank you.
Thanks for showing us this!
Nice feature! 🍫
I hope you’ll be able to help expand the different agricultural industries you’re in, in the country. The country needs someone like you. Wish you the best.
I hope so also🙏 One farmer at a time. Our fist focus is aquaponics, then coconuts and cacao after. Thank you for your support and well wishes🤙💚
There’s such a local demand for chocolates in the Philippines alone.
There is and I hope the local farmers can reap the benefits🤙

Just subscribed. We've come back to the Philippines just over a year ago, now in my senior years. I live in Cebu but has a small ancestral land in Bohol. I would like to start planting cacao trees in our small plot. I would like to know where to buy the seedlings and how to grow them. Thank you so much for your mission in life. You are already a big help in your own way. God bless you and the family.
The department of agriculture has many resources here for seedlings and how to grow. The big push is coconuts, cacao, and coffee. I’ve got friends with farms and we personally have built the first of its kind aquaponic system. I know much more about coconuts and aquaponic. If you’re ever in Bohol, let us know!! 🙏
Aloha and GOD BLESS from Las Vegas
