  • We’re starting a new series! Aside from all the fun Philippine adventures and trying new foods and learning the culture, I want to take you guys on a different type of Pursuit with me. Moving my whole family from the States to the Philippines may sound ideal to some… but let’s be real, sounds kinda crazy too right? But for us, it was all in God’s timing and grace. In this series, we’ll dive into the beginning and how it all got started. So why did we actually make the move? Press play and come along for the ride as I share with you all the ups and the downs we went through to start a new life in the Philippines.
Thanks for all your support and catch you guys on the next Pursuit 🤙

It was not an easy decision but we are here by faith. Wherever God leads He will provide. the Philippines wealth lies on its nature. sadly, many Filipino people neglect it and pursue city life more. our farmers live in poverty while the commodities they provide sells high in the cities. it is this irony that makes us different from other wealthy nations who are supported by their govt thru true agricultural help and not just nonsense subsidies that in anyways didnt bring any improvement in our agricultural sector.

Our ancestors were coconut and coffee plantation barons in the 1890s . They were considered aristocrats. They also supplied coconuts to a chocolate company in US. . They left massive land in different locations to 6 generations and divided to many families. That is how rich they have become. The younger generations became professionals. The industry died and younger gen were not interested. It would be wonderful to see your success on this aswel.

The trade off of becoming professionals instead of working on farms... I wish I could turn back time but it's the reality of today. I learned that the large plantations were highly decorated and they were so respected. I hope the younger generation sees an opportunity in farming. The country needs it with food scarcity looming in the near future. Thanks for sharing and following!

Interesting. I was in the Philippines 11 years ago on a coconut project and traveled up and down the main island looking for coconut supplier with the help of some relatives. Priced out everything from supply to transportation to port as well as cost for container and shipping. Largest typhoon in history of Philippines then swept through and destroyed a lot of supply and prices increased to an amount that was no longer feasible for what I needed it to be. However I also did research to produce/
manufacture product from raw supply and knew that was route I would probably have to take. Stayed in Philippines for a year and had to return to US because my visa was expiring. US citizen born in Philippines so was able to have 1 year visa. Came back to US to reevaluate but things changed and ended up in serious relationship. Watching this video just brought back memories of my coconut journey and experience which I regret not returning to, but looking to re-ignite my love of adventure and travel I had back then this year. Good luck on your pursuit and adventure.

Maybe I can share more details of my experiences and what exactly I had going on and my perspective and potential of coconuts if we ever meet. From the little I have seen I think we are somewhat aligned with our interests and outlook. Btw I think coconut coir is a good medium.

God bless sir,if you just persistent & have a very good faith, you have a lot to do in Phils. If the business just started,a lot of sacrifices. But a lot of people gave up their life in the green land & settle in Phils.you see now, they're doing best. You see Hungry Syrian?Torres farm?they're about to give up,but they pursue. Some Russian but go back to their country, but continue blogging about Phils.slowly they're getting successful.Just continue sir,no matter what.We support you,God bless.
