Charukesi also known as mixolydian b6(flat six) it's the major scale with 6th and 7th notes flatted or dropped a semi tone it's the 5th mode of melodic miner if my memory was correct ! By the way u r improvise was sane!!

the only disgrace is that this only has 70k views! amazing shylu - i dabble in guitar but i can't even begin to understand what you are doing.
There are two main problems with guitar as far as Carnatic is concerned. one too long a fretboard making it hard on the arms to play tough gamagas, to some extent this problem is solved in post prasanna world. second is the inherent tonal limitation of guitar to control touch beyond a certain point. Other than BB king Highly doubt there are lot of guitarists who found a way to solve the second problem. I think you are onto something here, keep working on your tone particularly if you can exploit the control of feedback which is increasing the Volumen in release stage of tone. Clearly you have found a way to control volume reduction during release phase of tone. The second part is much harder, to have a control to increase tonal quality during dying phases of the tone then you might have made the guitar fully usable for Carnatic purposes. I think you are there almost.Hard problem noone has cracked it if you ask me

@Führer it's all about personal choices.some want warm tone some want bit drive some want simple clean tone..

Amazing! Thank you.. I think A R Rahman loves this raga much..I can remember his two compositions in this raga(I suppose) 'Sunta hai mera khuda' (from hindi movie Pukar) and 'Ahista ahista' (from 'Swades')..
Another beautiful composition of Sri TG Lingappa in 'Bombeyatavayya' from kannada movie 'Shruti seridaaga' sung by legendary actor Dr.Rajkumar is also based on this raga..
