Here's some fun facts about the gyroids in particular:
-There's actually a logical reason as to why you can never dig up gyroids in New Horizons: Tom Nook's Island Getaway Package sends you to an *uninhabited* island. You can't exactly dig up graves if there aren’t any in the first place. So if you were wondering why there is a lack of gyroids in New Horizons, that's probably the reason why.
-The rabbit villager, Coco, looks awfully like a gyroid. This is further supported by the interior of her houses throughout the series, which is usually themed around gardens, supposedly a nod to the fact that farmers in Japan would often dig up Haniwa statues. Coco also lacks a stereo in the initial layout of her houses. If you do donate a stereo to her, she will play K.K. Dirge, a very unsettling song in K.K. Slider's library. Also, a “dirge” is literally a funeral song, so Coco’s choice in music really ties her character as a creepy villager that is probably a possessed, walking gyroid
-Speaking of Japanese farmers, they sometimes found these statues after it had rained (probably because they would till the soil after a rainy day in order to exploit the moist soil). The Haniwa statues were often shallow graves, so the moist earth around them would usually wash away and allow the statues to make their way to the surface. This is reflected in some of the Animal Crossing games, where you would often dig up gyroids after a rainy day.
-Particularly in New Leaf, the interior of Coco's house looks a lot like a pyre; she has two bonfires on both sides of her room, a line of gyroids, and two clay pots on a table. This is probably a nod to the fact that some of the corpses would be cremated and their ashes would be mixed into the clay to create the Haniwa statues.
-In the first Animal Crossing game, if you visited your friend's town, reset your GameCube, and booted the game up, you would be greeted with your character, now sporting a gyroid-esque face. This "easter egg" was very likely a message from the developers to the players, an attempt to scare players into remembering to save their game properly.

Okay if we are going by your argument, then explain how Wisp can exist in NH on your island. He's literally a person who died on the island and hasn't seen a human in such a long time that he himself has forgotten what a human is.
GottaLoveDepecheMode I assume Wisp aimlessly roams around the world as you can meet with him in various Animal Crossing games. It’s not as if Wisp had died in each town (meaning at least six times) throughout the games. So that’s my reasoning as to why Wisp, a ghost, is present on your island on certain days.
And even if Wisp died on that exact island Nook set up, Wisp probably died alone since, according to him, he never saw any humans for a very long time. So no one creates a Haniwa statue for him and his corpse eventually decomposes into nothing. Case solved, our little anxious ghostly boi probably died alone.

I read on Nookipedia that gyroids are referenced within the game's files, so they'll probably be added sometime in the future.

You have the option to go to Blathers with any donation and ask for information. They probably did it that way because of how massive the museum is. There's normally three or four summaries on the plaques; a lot of text to shuffle through.

Some trivia. Did you know the song K.K. Rider is based on the opening of Kamen Rider V3.
You can also watch this on your television at certain times watching a yellow super hero in reference to kamen rider.
Another is the suits representing Super Sentai or Power Rangers in japan.
What's also interesting that Nintendo had their first showing on aired broadcast from a show called JAKQ Dengekitai.
An an episode, the space card had the word Nintendo, showing that they did make playing cards for a time in 1977, 9 years before their home console debut.
What's also some interesting trivia is the spade card from Super Mario Bros. 3, this is the same Spade card from the show. ;3

just a heads up that the song you played for “Song of the Condor” is actually a Bolivian Sicuris dance - look up El Condor Pasa to find the actual song the devs were probably trying to reference (hundreds of times more popular than the Folkways recording sampled here, which only seems to have one recording), though in all likelihood (based on the JP title, “Song of Peru,” and since the “KK Condor” title was a creation of the localization team) I’d assume they were just doing a take on Peruvian music style in general

I remember this one! Blathers commented on what if we never evolved out of marine/aquatic life and wondered how we would solve disputes. Then he whispers about an contest having to do with ink, which is a splatfest (or turf war) reference :D!!

Did you know? During development on New Horizons, Nintendo planned to have Isabelle return as a caretaker for a collection of animals. They eventually opted against the idea for the final release as they realized she would be a shih tzu keeper.

In acnh, the notes on the blackboard item are the same notes played in the song welcome horizons otherwise known as the title screen music in acnh.

Correction; "As the character of Ha is sometimes read as Wa"
This is partially incorrect; the nimber 8「八」 is read as Hachi「はち」 which is where the Ha「は」 comes from but when Ha「は」 becomes Wa「わ」 is only during sentance structure when indicating a topic. That is why "I am," in Japanese is written as 私は・わたしは「Watashi ha」 is instead read as 「Watashi wa」. Japanese does this a few times like when using He「へ」 to indicate direction you would write it as He but pronounce it as just e「え」 or when indicating a verb you would write Wo「を」 but read it as o「お」. So the wordplay fact is still true but the reason why is a bit off center.
Sometimes I will admit, their facts about the Japan culture is a bit off like they are supposed to know

Then I got a reply from a very shocked and pleased follower who informed me that Gulliver was referencing StarTropics, and I felt a little sheepish at my assumption. I've never played StarTropics so I had no idea.

Peru no Uta/K.K. Condor takes far more influence from "El Humahuaqueño" which is a Carnavalito/Carnival song from 1941. In more modern times this song is just known purely as "Carnavalito" partially because an Argentinian dance group known as King Africa made a cover of the song and people simply started calling the song...well, Carnavalito.
Granted, the performed version of the song (which y'all used in your example) may take a little bit of influence from Song of the Condor, but when it comes to the aircheck version (AKA the version of the song that goes into your music players in-game) is definitely based on El Humahuaqueño.
There's another K.K. tidbit I found. The intro to one of his songs (I think it was "DJ K.K.") was changed in between the N64's Doubutsu no Mori and the international GameCube version, likely because it was almost identical to a popular dance song (whose name I never knew in the first place).
There is one more splatoon reference in German when you fish a squid. It simply say: "If I had Aioli and Limone". Aioli is a garlic sauce but also the German name for Callie and Limone is, how surprising, Marie but also a fruit, which is mostly served with seafood.

The poket pikachu was actually more of Nintendos answer to Digimon, their direct competitor anime-wise. The original digimon pendulums (the "digital pets" you could buy) were pedometer pets, which are very different than tamagotchis and far closer to what a pocket pikachu is! : )

There's another Splatoon easter egg in New Horizons. When you donate a trilobite (if I remember right) to Blathers he'll say several lines of dialogue that reference Splatoon.
As a peruvian boi I almost fell out of my chair after that Peru no uta easter egg, I've always wondered if Nintendo would ever reference my country in one of their games(or at least this one since it seemed to have lots of references to other countries) as I haven't found that song in ac yet ... and there it is in my favorite game :')
The squid rotates between 3 messages when you catch it. Along with the two mentioned, the last one has the player ask, "Do they not actually 'bloop'." This is a reference to Bloopers, the squid enemies from the Super Mario series.
Another note is that, as far as I'm aware, the squid is the only fish in New Horizons to have multiple lines when caught. This may have something to do with Splatoon and Animal Crossing sharing the same development team.

Since I am a noob to this series for the most part I am now questioning if we will see this Blanca villager on the next update coming in about a couple of days.
Here is an Easter egg I found on my own, I’m pretty sure the character Alfonso the alligator (I think) is a reference to Mario because his catchphrase is it’s a me, he wears a red shirt and both of their names end with the letter O (new horizons btw)
Alfonso is already known to be based off of the Mario franchise. I’m sure it’s probably on his character Wiki.
The player will also say something about squids making a bloop sound when catching a squid, which is a reference to bloopers from Mario

Has anyone found the Painter's Coveralls? I think that may be a reference to Splatoon as well. When I put them on, there were huge splotches of neon green and purple paint that looked a lot like the Splatoon colors. I could be wrong, and it could all be coincidence...
