Its actually 2 seperate new VA's the original VA left the company (idk why), the first new VA unfortunately died either before he could finish the recordings, or they had to rewrite some scripts, so they needed a second one.

I'm pretty sure...the comment on Roman's voice is a big sign of how little you know about the goings on with RWBY. He legit left because he abused his position as head of the animation department and was embezzling funds from other RT productions to try and push Gen:Lock ahead. He legit lead to the cancellation of Nomad of Nowhere and RWBY Chibi, and why Volumes 4-5 felt abit off. Billy Kametz was stated to be the new voice of Roman when Ice Queendom got a dub but he has sadly passed away from cancer and they got another VA to cover Roman across everything now. (In fact after that Cinder and Neo picture there was memorial message for Billy Kametz but ya paused before it was done)

Also leave it to Neo to know how to hit the hardest psychologically. Another note i feel like cat taking over a person is what the Nightmare Grim would have done had it completely taken over the host in Icequeendom.

Right, that’s why she says, “I died, didn’t I?”. Neo asked if that’s what happened because she doesn’t know for sure. It’s also why Lionheart and Clover don’t actually say anything.
The reason why _wby and Jaune just stood there is because none of them had context for what was going on and they didn’t have any reason to believe it was something dangerous

No nothing official yet. But I’ve been writing my own story. I watch shows from a critical point of view and have learned a lot from many works and creators so you’ll hear me mention stuff about story telling.
I mean I don't believe anyone thinks that ruby is like actually dead, considering she's the main character, but she's definitely going to be changed at least mentally from this experience, however they decide to do it
Three things. 1. For all they knew, it was a trap neo set up, they didn't know it truly was her until she looked them dead in the face with a "I'm sorry for doing this" look, and vise versa for Ruby, likely thought her team and Jaune showing up were just more clones come to kick her further down into drinking the tea 2. This likely played out faster from their POV, like they ran up to her as she's drinking the tea unable to stop her, it just seemed slow to us for the shock factor and so they can have Roman's final jab at Ruby 3. If you watch Yang after Ruby falls, other than looking around as the mansion starts crumbling, she's just staring at the spot mentally checked out, and likely would've fallen to her knees if Blake wasn't supporting her, and as the cat blasts them with Thunderbolt, Blake steps in front of Yang to take most of the hit for her

Jaune could've pushed Ruby aways via Gravity-Dust. Yes, ANOTHER sinkhole woulda opened on Ruby, but it would've been some kind of action. Weiss, being the one who picked up on Ruby's venting keywords - the least upset towards her - should've been the more/other proactive person to jump in to Save her. we did see summer in the reflection in ep 6.. and that would be a very cool way to physically introduce this character into the story.
