My locks were started by interlocking. I love, love, love them! Now that they are older (most are over 18 months with some newer ones in the back) I love the versatility and the fact that there is NO unraveling, even when I cut them. Best hairstyle choice ever!
I love your locs! What a difference it has made. I started with interlocks and I've had them for 11 months. They definitely have shrunken as they've locked but I love how they feel.
I installed my interlocs a few weeks ago and the shrinkage is so real. I'm still trying to get use to how short my hair looks. But I did understand that it would take longer for my hair to loc with braids
Your locs are amazing!!!! Thanks for sharing your journey, I too have Braidlocs. I enjoy maintaining them myself. Almost 2 years, you are my inspiration for getting Braidlocs.
I have been mulling over getting locs and your video has really inspired me! I love the look of smaller locs. I currently always have my hair in kinky twists or crochet braids, but I really just want to wear my own hair. My natural hair is very thin and fragile, so I didn't want to go with sisterlocks because they would most likely cause my hair to break. Thanks for sharing!!
Your videos are so helpful. I just started mine with braids because coils and two strands would not stay long enough. It's been almost a month now and my roots are so grown out that you can't see my parts so I think I'm going to switch to interlocking to tighten.
Are you still doing your 2 point pattern and if so are you pleased with the results vs doing a 3 or 4 point. What is the difference that you feel the 2 point has given you in the look and feel of your locs. They are coming along nicely by the way!
Your locs are so beautiful. This is just what I've been looking for. Plan to loc my hair by braids then change to interlocking. Glad to see it's possible. Thanks. Gonna subscribe 🙂
Wow! I remember you...we met at the World Natural Hair in Atlanta show a few years ago. My friend and I met up with your car group for the Hair show. I had and still have my locs. I'm always searching videos for moisturizing my locs and came across your video. Your hair looks amazing and congrats on your new hair journey.
Hartamtay Thanks! 😊 I'm really loving my loc journey. I just reached 2 years loc'd this month & will continue to post updates. I hope to make it back to the hair show. I've only been once to the show in Atlanta.
I want to start by saying THANK YOU SO MUCH =) i love all your videos i been trying a lot of research on dreads of all types and styles i have soft , curly , thin , Mexican hair i though it would be a no go for me to get them but i saw alot of videos including your's and i have starter my own loc journey its been 3months for me and so far i have my ups and downs but i love them so far i been getting a lot of negative comments just because I'm Mexican i feel if i love the hair style and it on my hair why are people so mean the only people that has been giving me love and support is my husband but either way im not going let people bring me down but still thank you for all the love in your videos love your locs they are so beautiful
For Alejandra Lopez- I'm sorry to hear you have gotten mean comments about locking your hair. Keep your head up and continue to do what makes you feel good regardless of what others have to say. I bet they are beautiful with your texture of hair. We all can add something beautiful to locs. Take care
Ur hair looks beautiful. I started with braids a lil over a yr ago and the braid pattern in the back and middle has disappeared but the front still looks like braids. I will be working on interlocking the front of my head...ty.
Thank you for this video!! I’m trying to decide between the two and I definitely want length and the most neat. But I see what you mean about as the locs grow they take a while to all be uniform… ahhhhh such a decision. I have hair at my bra
Ok, I'm confused... So I know Sister Locs are started off by interlocing the entire length of the hair. Braid Locs, you braid your own hair and allow it to Loc.. but to Loc the root.. you interloc. So essentially, all new growth is interloc'd from that point on?
Yes, you're absolutely right! 😊 The roots would be interlocked. So when you start maintaining the roots, you would have interlocked roots, with the length of the hair in braids. With time, the interlock and braid will blend together.
So I just started my locs with micro braid locs. I'm loving the look now. I am goung ti interloc as I need retites. I choice this because of lengh and time to install.. This video was very helpful.
When you started with braided locs did your ends look curly on the ends. I do have braids, now but will do them over because I didn't part using a comb so I need to get my parts straight. I have about 92 now so I know it will be braided locs for me and you have helped me a lot
This has helped me alot. I was trying to figure out to start with braidlocs vs intrlocked. Now I think interlock will be better since that is how the retie will be done anyway. Is there a difference with microlocs interlocking and sisterlocs?
Omg please help me I have started my journey with briadlocs and I have had them for 2 months and some parts of my locs are rock hard 😖. What does this mean ??
ロータス I usually set aside an average of 5 hours so I can sit down, relax and take my time when interlocking my whole head at once. This includes time to take a couple snack breaks, lol.
Thank you so much for the video,😊😊😊😊, how offend do u interlock your hair? Bc I just started interlocking and I don't want to damage my hair.. thanks again
Hi! Are you still doing the 2 point rotation? I'm currently installing micro locs with 2 stand twists and wanted a better idea of how different the 2 point rotation looked vs the 4 point. I know the 4 point rotation gives the locs a tighter look and I want a more full look for my locs

gilroygal36 Yes, I love that about interlocks too! No unraveling. 😀

Michelle M Thanks! 😊 I'm glad your interlocks are coming along well too!

Interlocking typically works really well with braidlocs. 😊
Love your locs. I started my locs via interlocks and I love them. And yes they are fluffy.
I love, love, love your locs. I have sisterlocks almost 2 yrs next month!

Strut your stuff forget the Haters and within 2 years watch and see what happens the Haters will have locs. Greetings from Michigan peace
Braidlocs, I love my hair.
Ur hair looks beautiful. I started with braids a lil over a yr ago and the braid pattern in the back and middle has disappeared but the front still looks like braids. I will be working on interlocking the front of my head...ty.
I love your tone and your locs 🌻

Hey 👋 here watching
Your hair looks nice! How long was your hair when your braid lox’s were installed?
I thought “interlock” was a method of maintaining hair nota type of dreadloc.
They are. I wonder if she had them done differently. She stated she took some down, so maybe they used the tool and locked it from the roots.
So I just started my locs with micro braid locs. I'm loving the look now. I am goung ti interloc as I need retites. I choice this because of lengh and time to install.. This video was very helpful.
You can also start your locs with interlocks instead of coils, twists or braids
When you started with braided locs did your ends look curly on the ends. I do have braids, now but will do them over because I didn't part using a comb so I need to get my parts straight. I have about 92 now so I know it will be braided locs for me and you have helped me a lot
I absolutely love your locks!!! 💜🖤💜
Thank you! 😊
Always something to learn. Thank you.
Your locs are lovely
I read that it is good to start with braid locs and then when it's time to retie, start interlocing them! Is this accurate?
How many locs have you. I started mine myself, with 4 interlocking. its has taken me 3 weeks. .
Her laugh. 😉 Your funny n cute.. love your hair.. I'm starting locs soon.
This has helped me alot. I was trying to figure out to start with braidlocs vs intrlocked. Now I think interlock will be better since that is how the retie will be done anyway. Is there a difference with microlocs interlocking and sisterlocs?
Your hair 😍😍😍
RitaMay June Thanks! I'm really excited for your new loc journey! 😀 I can't wait to see how your coils develop!
Thanks for sharing. Did you experience alot of shedding when converting to the interlocs?
Your locs are beautiful
I need the person who did your hair. Im looking to get micro braid locs extensions
I got 2 strand twists but I've decided to braid the ends now
Omg please help me I have started my journey with briadlocs and I have had them for 2 months and some parts of my locs are rock hard 😖. What does this mean ??
Braid and I interlock when it's refresh time. Mines are not as small as yours though
When you are interlocking your hair, on average how long does it take you to do your whole head? Thinking of getting around the same amount as you
ロータス I usually set aside an average of 5 hours so I can sit down, relax and take my time when interlocking my whole head at once. This includes time to take a couple snack breaks, lol.
If you do braidlocs stick with 4 pt rotation
Thank you so much for the video,😊😊😊😊, how offend do u interlock your hair? Bc I just started interlocking and I don't want to damage my hair.. thanks again
I started my dreads with two strand twist 🙈
Luis locs how is that going?
I started with faux locs... But I interloc ... xoxo JusBuTTer
Do you still use the 2 point rotation to maintain your loss?
Hi! Are you still doing the 2 point rotation? I'm currently installing micro locs with 2 stand twists and wanted a better idea of how different the 2 point rotation looked vs the 4 point. I know the 4 point rotation gives the locs a tighter look and I want a more full look for my locs
beautiful
Good evening, were the braids your real hair or extensions?
Gummy Bear it was her real hair. She did the braid locs as a way of starting her locs.
For long hair you need to do smaller braids. Your braids were too big.
