Would you guys ever consider sharing more about your 3D printers? Would be interesting to know what speeds/general print settings you employ in a mass production setting compared to what the average consumer uses they also seem like a very minimal core xy printer and seeing how the current trend of printer designs shifting from cartesian to core xy makes these even more curious!
10:28 I understand if it's a trade secret and you don't want to give away the "secret sauce" but if not, it would be very fascinating to have a "tour" of one of the factory floor printers and how it compares to a typical hobbyist printer (what parts does it use, could we build one? ect).
I'm guessing they don't want to give out that much info... spent years of their lives getting to where they're at. But yes I agree an in depth peak at some of the 14 iterations video would be cool
The fact that clients disappeared is brutal... but realistically these products could never even exist or would have burned a much larger investment using molding technology.
PLEASE HIRE ME! I am a senior software (20yrs+) engineer and 3d printer enthusiast that has always had a burning interest in robotics. I always put 120% of my self into my work. I can modify, compile, and deploy marlin and I've began my journey into converting my Ender 5 Plus to klipper and will be finishing that project shortly.
Very impressive presentation. Your generous sharing of knowledge , Particularly in the area of design for manufacturing is invaluable and much appreciated. Keep up the great work!!! This subscription will be at the top of my list.
I know that this it's a 3D mass production channel oriented and you don't like to do printer reviews, but I really want to see a hole video talking about your custom printer details, process to do it, challenges with them and so on. Any chance?
Hey, Are you planning an IPO? Totally would invest in the stock! :) Also, I really can see, how you will move from a 3D printer farm based business to one of the major supplier of industrial grade FDM 3D printers. I for example would totally buy a printer that is based on your ton of experience.
100k threshold? That makes me feel good. My fist poduct I designed I sold about 6 million units my second big product was a thermoformed sport card box which I sold well over 3 million units. Now I am seriously looking at a 3D Print product hopefully I will do the same type of numbers. Great info, Thanks.
Dang, that sounds awesome. If y'all ever open on the east coast and are hiring, I'm definitely applying. I work in manufacturing and I 3d print as a hobby. Combining those 2 things would be a dream. (I don't 3d print as a side hustle, bc as you've said in previous videos, it's completely different to print on scale vs in my living room.)
An awesome story! And my curiosity is itching as hell about your farm printer design. May be very valuable if you ever decide to share it with the world!
I am sure you are already thinking about creating other locations to get better shipping costs and better shipping speeds. It might be interesting to see a franchise model where folks from around the world can be part of your team.
You guys have such an inspiring story. I have been working on my own printing company for years and it's been so similar in the lessons learned but I think the way you explain the process is so educational for those who want to understand print factories more than just shelves full of bed slingers keep up the awesome videos!
How did you all afford using Autodesk Inventor during this startup era? Did you all get some sort of special licensing from AutoDesk? I'm asking because I'm needy :|
You're not allowed to ask questions like this because it's a distraction. I just asked a question if they ever use metal 3D printing filament, and their reply back was distraction and that was it. How are people like us ever supposed to learn if companies are getting offended by valuable learning questions?
@@andrethagiant12 I think what they ment with their reply to your comment was since they allready have goals and plans set up for their business, something like going for 3D printing metal parts would be considered a distraction since the technology is still in its infancy and probably would require big changes for them to take that on. They did give kind of a bunt answer to your comment though will say.
@@Joshplv they should explain themselves. Instead of leaving one-word replies and it's not a distraction to learn something new. Knowledge is power. There's a few other channels that experiment with metal filament for rocket parts. It was just a rude reply back a person that values teaching others would have left more than a one-word reply. We were all taught in high school how to properly have a conversation with other individuals. They should be explained themselves not a person like you or another person commenting on here for them. If they can't explain what they meant that's just bad business and rude.b
@@MrBoss1 no s*** it's good to ask questions. Asking questions gains a person knowledge. I literally asked a question on here and they couldn't even reply back besides a one word response and then when I asked what they meant by that, they couldn't explain. It's rude and bad business when somebody asks a question because they're trying to gain knowledge from the best in that business and then the person of that business can't even replied back with an actual answer besides a one word response. Asking questions is how people learn. So what are you on. 🤣
Is the concept of the Koil Spool dead? Looks like KVP dropped it...have a few Slant Spools I've made. Enjoyed getting premium filament at a discount by using my own spool.
If you figure out how to print a single part for a low price, that will be great for the consumer, but on the other hand it will make it impossible for anyone that's just starting to compete :/

Further than this, do you plan on releasing the blueprint for this machines as open source, or even sell units?
@@nemostein1676 That would be awsome

Very important video, blows away so many assumptions from stumbling across Slant 3D on YT.
Vertical integration for markets of scale is the way to go. Engineering at its finest. Nimble and scalable. I hope you become a billionaire sir.
Thanks. We should have full production up soon
The fact that clients disappeared is brutal... but realistically these products could never even exist or would have burned a much larger investment using molding technology.
Cool story. Nice to see the massive growth
Thanks
Learning each time
The Mega Farm is epic!!!!😊
Thanks
I would love more information about how your machines work. Especially how they compare to something like a Prusa mk4
That was an awesome video. Love the story and the passion that comes out of the CEO. Best of luck wirh your company!
Very inspiring !
One question. How do you manage the farm? It doesn't look automated like the concept from 3DQue, so how many workers operating the farm?

I would love to see the ultimate: Filament made with Hemp!!!!
would you ever think about selling some of those there “server boxes” to other small 3d printing businesses?
Can you share your printer design? I'm highly interested in a printer that gets better over time as it "settles" and not worse...

Excellent video, thank you!
Bin wondering what the whole history was for how you got to where you are now, interesting video
Hey dude.......... This printer its a open source ? I realy like quality.
Have you ever considered sharing (or selling) plans, models, and firmware for your Mk. 14 Slant 3D printer?
I am sure you are already thinking about creating other locations to get better shipping costs and better shipping speeds. It might be interesting to see a franchise model where folks from around the world can be part of your team.
Unfortunately, We will never do a franchise model. Uncontrollable speed and reliability
Are your machines open cource? Can we built them too?
Where are you located? Do you have internships or jobs available for mech engineers coming out of college?
can you do a video on how your making your own filament (machines and set up). would love to expand into that for our own material sourcing.
devil like gripper =cool idea
How do you control temperature and humidity in a room that large?
Could some of the design philosophy used on your Mason printers be transferred to resin printers?
very inspiring
Thanks
Very cool!
