@@krisvirsingh3256 Tesla's are all single-speed, with the torque being more down low it falls pretty flat in a Model 3 once you hit around 80~ mph I'd say. For daily driving this is perfectly fine of course, just not great for drag racing. It's beat the usual boy racer in his Civic though at least. ;)
@@CARBONHAWK1 The Model 3 pulled ahead slightly until about 8 seconds in, I think they're doing about 90-100mph at this point. The Model 3 runs out of torque with being single-speed around here. 90 to 165 is painfully slow, but 0 to 90 is insanely fast. (This is what gives the Taycan its edge in races again a Model S P100DL, the Taycan has 2 gears, keeps it in the power band - Tesla doesn't use one to increase range (save weight) and to reduce cost)
In all fairness, you can take 5 people around town with you and still have a very fast performance vehicle. The GTR is dedicated to speed and not as versatile for everyday use.
The Tesla was racing at only 70% SOC. That has a big impact on performance. Once below 75% the power drops dramatically above 60. Not saying it would beat the GTR up top, but it would have been a lot closer
I think stock the GTR would pull away past around 90~mph, but the Model 3 would have it off the line. :) I have a 2019 Model 3 Performance, most I've ever done was 135 though when trying to keep up with some guy in a Golf GTi acting all cool. He pulled away past around 90~ as you run out of torque at around that speed in a Model 3.
I’m mean I owned a r35 GTR, and own the regular model 3 long range. Long range gets my c63 off the line all day. Definitely trading the model 3 in for the performance. 0-100 that’s all I need

You don't need that performance for daily driving, 0 to maybe 80 is the only performance that is ever used for 99% of the driving you'll do in the car. :)
seems to be some truth about the "nothing is quicker off the line than a GTR". Certainly in this video it almost looks like the GTR has electric torque.
Model S performance is certainly faster. But if you spend more money I'm pretty sure you can get a Nissan that nearly matches acceleration with it and beats Model S at the top end.

Sure maybe you could compare a Model S to a 700 hp modified Nissan, but at that point who cares. The question is how long can that gtr keep that speed to run, for 1 hour or just 2minuts? Remember Tesla can keep 150mph to run for about 30minuts until it’s battery empty.
And this is why we say tesla is quick not fast, it uses a lot of its power on the jump but than after 60-70 it wont produce any more power, thats why if they would of roll raced going 60-80, you would notice the big difference on how fast it would lose.
within legal speed limit, there's no many car that can touch a Model 3 Performance and we have not even factored in weather conditions, condition of road surface, how ready or what gear ratio other car is etc. Tesla is just a great car as a whole package including running costs which is a major issue for most people when deciding to buy a car. Tesla will use motor from the Plaid for the next generation Model 3 Performance which will still have just 2 motors but more powerful motors which will allow it to continue pulling hard at the top end. Rumours said it will have 800hp

I ran into an E63S from the lights one time (M3P) and he was somehow almost as fast as this Gtr....sure this was FBO?
